Travis, Joel or Dante?

  1. I want Trout back! Remember that Memphis game winner? The three point shooting?

I'd rank them Outlaw, Dante, Joel. I'd rather have Reggie Evans or Troy Murphy if thats still plausible at the BAE but they likely want more money.

I think Outlaw will probably be claimed for a cheap $1-2 million off amnesty waivers though. If not yeah I'd go after him with the BAE. I'd be down with Dante but the media and fans care so much about weed stuff I don't see our management wanting to go through that possible headache when you talking about the 14th man on the roster.

The idea of Joel is nice but he was so horrible last year I would want to see a good workout first. He also sounds like he isn't interested in joining a team until after Christmas. If he's not willing to put in the practice time now and learn what our team is trying to implement it might better to give his role to a Chris Johnson type of player who is hungry to work hard and willing to put in the preparation work. I think Joel just wants to sit on his butt for a bit, which I don't blame him, but definitely makes me less inclined to give him a roster spot.

They say they are being creative to bring in a backup big.

Picking through a thin FA market isn't being creative.

Find a way to trade for a big who can play 20+ min. and make a real impact, now that would be creative.

Until you consider we were trying to trade him for some picks (that were very unlikely to be super-high lotto picks)....

Shit, that 2013 pick could be a lottery pick if things go south.

Fuck, dude. In my opinion, G-Dub is our best player. So I ain't complaining. I was pissed that we were even considering dealing him. I know people talk about him possibly block Nico, but man.... I think we can keep them both and feed both with enough minutes.

The way Portland played changed the day we got him. He can score, he's aggressive on D, and when he gets a steal or a long rebound, he looks to push. He makes the Blazers a much more exciting team to watch.

I was just trying to beat the boo-birds to the punch (such as the mixum doppelganger).

I really like Wallace too, but honestly I'm not convinced that this team will win anything and without adding a serious star to the roster I don't see the point of having a 29 year old who is known to hurt himself.

    Big Difference.

Ptd doesn't have a chance to get Daunte. Too bad, he does the dirty work and was developing some consistency with his short outside shot. I think he would be a perfect addition to the roster, but we aren't going to offer anything Charlotte won't match.

I think Cho is a good fit there. Charlotte seems to be a very budget conscious team, and I think Cho is a good GM for a franchise where bottom line profits is a big part of the analysis.

Apparently OKC is making an amnesty bid on Travis. Kind of amazing if they do (rather than just letting him clear waivers) and I'm not sure how I feel about that. I know plenty of people won't mind, because they think Travis can't play, but he's still an all-round cool guy, and I don't want the OKC lockerroom getting any more relaxed and chummy.
