Sounds to me he's shocked and disappointed that he has further healing to do.

Roy won't be at the game. Same reason--needs time to recover from the news of his retirement. Other interviewers used the word "setback" to Aldridge while interviewing him and I almost barfed. He was only out about 10 days. No comparison to Oden. Aldridge said it's not his heart keeping him out for 10 days, it's the healing of where they cut. (I hope it wasn't where I think it was.)

Elliot is a hardcore video gamer and says Aldridge can't figure out some game Elliot was talking about. Casey asked Craig whether he now hates the Lakers, now that the L.A. native has moved from the Clippers to here, and he surprisingly said "I hate the Lakers" even though he grew up idolizing Magic Johnson. Says Magic and his mother are his biggest heroes.

These guys must practice their smiles in front of mirrors because they all have smooth ones.

I meant that the "setback" was Oden being told by a doctor that he couldn't play yet, as if Oden expected otherwise. I didn't mean that Oden was told this today. He was told this the other day and that was the famous "setback" No new news here, just an extra detail about what the "setback" was. It was the doctor deciding he shouldn't play. It was certainly no surprising setback to me, and I doubt to Oden either.

Did you hear that yourself, or are you using me as your source, because all I heard was him say something about his groin in the context of his procedure, and I'm only guessing they went up through it.

I agree but then I think about the grueling schedule, injuries and all that, he should get some burn.

Most heart procedures use the femoral artery (thigh/groin area) to insert catheters. There are wide arteries which go directly from the thigh region to the heart without much resistance.

And when was the last time a black guy was described as a "gym rat" or having a "high motor"? We all know the racial code words.

    Want to get really confused?

Go look at the media day portraits of the Nets and Hornets team.

I feel like I have a good grasp of prospects and current players and I was stumped looking at these rosters.
