Hmmm, maybe our luck is slowly starting to turn? Chuck Hayes, a supposed target, or at least of board members here, has aheart issue. Now, another fall back plan from Crawford, Reggie Williams has a meniscus tear, out 6-8 weeks. Two near misses for us?
Or, maybe our luck is starting to spread--not only do our own players get injured, but also those once rumored to be potentially ours as well. Soon, FA's won't even consider us for fear of potential injury.
Anyone else surprised that Kris Humphries hasn't signed a new contract yet? I know everything Brooklyn is doing has D12 in mind but Kris was very solid last season and you hear nothing. At only 25, double-double machine, he'd be a nice addition to any team.
He's restricted, right? I'd guess the Nets are still trying to get a Howard deal done and need the cap room to take on Hedo's contract as part of the deal. Humphries coming or going isn't going to matter much to Deron signing long-term.
Kind of funny how a few guys this forum has been constantly bitching about on the defensive end went to new teams and were deemed "good" if not great defenders. Blake last year when he went to LA and now Rudy. Guess teams like to psych themselves up with phantom abilities the player has never shown before.
Always came off as sort of a Mr. Machismo imo. Doesn't seem to exactly be a "clubhouse presence", nor an "intimidator", nor a "on-the-court leader". Decent statistical output, but would be a negative hit to any type of team chemistry. But I'm not a GM so who knows why he isn't picked up, just saying I'm not surprised.
I don't think he has an ego problem. I don't think he's like these AAU brats that will only player in two of the 30 NBA cities. He lives in Chanhassen, MN during the off-season, a small 'burb. The Kardashian crap was fabricated "reality" tv drama. He's a young vet that can produce.
Chris Paul's replacement at starting PG just went 8-14 24/6/6 with 3 steals a block and no TO in 26 min. And only drafted 17 spots behind Felton too.
