    I think the so called rumor started on the Dan Patrick show. He mentioned that Kelly would be a good fit for the Dolphins job. I don't think there is much to the rumor. I do think eventually if CK was offered the right NFL job he would take it. I doubt he is going to be offered a NFL job until he wins a few or at least one big bowl game.

    I would hate to lose CK but now with our program I believe we would get a great coach to replace him. We have a lot of money from donors to go along with the extra money from the Pac 12 TV deal to make CK or his replacement one of the best paid coach in college football.

    OK--so there's an article that says that there's no evidence that Ross is interested in Kelly. Thanks for proving PapaG's point.

    Yes, SEVERAL discussions have been held regarding Kelly to the NFL and different teams - even the Seahawks. It's chatter. Discussion. "What if's"?

    Where did the claim that Miami execs were in Eugene come from???

    He said that an internet rumor had them in Eugene. "Internet rumors" are almost by definition not a valid news source.

    What does it matter? If you don't want to talk about Chip Kelly going to the Dolphins/NFL, then don't post in the thread. It seems pretty straightforward to me.

He then put up some stupid link speculating on Miles and Kelly being targets of the Dolphins, which has literally nothing to do with proving Miami execs were in Eugene. You can defend this obvious trolling, because the contrarian in you thrives on board conflict and a facade of objectivity, even if it is obvious what happened in this thread.
