BCB was right about Rajon Rondo the whole time.

wow, you dug yourself a hole and refused to admit you're wrong. Rajon Rondo is miles ahead of Delonte at defense. Delonte's not good on offense? WOW. He has an extremely nice outside shot, and he averaged 12/5 in essentially his rookie season, with close to 16 or 17 ppg in the last few months.

He is not very talented offensively imo. I dont expect him to average much over 15 or 16 ppg on offense..

in his prime, 18-20 ppg is not a stretch at all. 15 or 16 is reachable next year. Delonte is actually a good scorer.oh, and Delonte in February-March average 15 ppg. nice call.

I already did. Both are pg's and good at passing, steals and rebounding. Also, I havnt seen much of Delonte, but he is a respectible defender. I dont think he will ever average 20 ppg. That is way too high. Maybe 17-18 at best.

All Rondo has to do is learn how to shoot so that he gets the ball in, and I will 100% agree he is the best pg of the draft. And that theyre less impressed with Telfair... I'm not surprised at all.

CB4 - "Both are good at passing" - Delonte is a solid passer, but not a playmaker. Rondo is a true playmaking PG.DELONTE ISN'T A GOOD OFFENSIVE PLAYER? Huh? He was our 2nd best player on the floor a lot this year, his shot is silky smooth, he has a decent first step and gets to the basket, oh.. did i mention he has an unbelievable shot? You lost so much credibility with me on this thread alone lol.And there is a BIG difference in Delonte's defense and Rondo's defense. Delonte is a good TEAM defender (switching, comming off screens, calling for help, etc.). Rondo is a 1-on-1 harrasser and he doesn't need any help. Give him someone to guard straight up and he will harrass the hell out of them.CB4's assignment - watch NBA basketball in 2007

Delonte is a good offensive threat, proved 2nd best on his team, like cmon man.

Rondo specializes in defense, Delonte specializes in offense. Delonte doesn't realyl steal the ball all that often. I guess he is a solid defender, but Rondo will be a very good defender.

There is a big difference and there are a lot less star players in the summer league.

I dont see many Cletics games, but when I saw Delonte, he didnt seem very talented offensively, but he seemed to be a good defensive player capable of getting steals and doing an alright man to man job.I dont think his ceiling is too high though.

it doesn't matter when YOU saw him, it matters how he played, and he played very well towards the end of the season. You keep repeating the same points even after we prove you wrong. he averaged 15 points per game in feb-march, including a 30 point game.

The way I look at it is it's to early to say you gotta have him play in the NBA games to see how good you think he can be.And I think Foye will be better. But I can't say that when Rondo I really have not seen play, and only heared some stuff about him.
