Don't be so glum about losing out on James. He's not that good, and I hear you guys are looking at Trevor Ariza.

Keep Banks, trade Jaric for a good, young big man. Decent signing for the Wolves.

How do they keep Banks when they used the MLE on James? They don't have bird rights for Banks.

While I don't think that Mike James and Ricky Davis are a Sprewell / Cassell combanation, I do think that this additition of Mike James makes them valid for 30 + PPG between the two, added to Garnett's 20 +. That's about 50 + PPG from three players, however, from there, you need something from other players. I still don't see them getting sufficient amounts to do anything

Good addition for Minny I guess. Although if they are keeping Kevin this year, I think that they need a true pg. And we all know that Mike James is a score first pg. Still, not a bad sign for Minny.

This is a great signing by the Timberwolves because they need pure talent and shooters. With Fred Hoiberg and Wally Szczerbiak gone this team lacks a threat from downtown. Mike James gives that and a big shot maker. Those are two big needs that got filled with this signing.A lot of people are talking about how he is is a one year wonder and he only did well because it was a contract year. I don't think that is true. The guy is one of the hardest workers in the league. He was undrafted and he struggled to get much playing time. Once he started getting some playing time he started making a name for himself. He really was able to make a mark last year with Toronto when he finally got a chance to play big minutes. The Timberwolves are obviously not done with their moves because they lack size right now. I expect Marko Jaric or Trenton Hassell to be shipped out for a big man or a small forward before the summer is done.Mike James will be the starter next to Trenton Hassell and Ricky Davis (probably). That means Randy Foye will come off the bench his first year or two and then take the starting job away from James in two years or so. Next year McCants is else expected to come back.Does this move make the team a contender? Absoutely not. However, the playoffs are a reality for this Timberwolves club and there is no way Garnett and James will allow this franchise to miss the playoffs for three straight years. Garnett called James and pleaded with the organization to bring James aboard, we got him and now we just need to make a few more tweaks and this team should be ready to compete in this awful division.

Good signing by the T Wolves. They need more scorers on that team to help KG out. This will help out substantially, and put them out of the dog house of the NBA imo. Now they are actually able to score points. I still dont see them making the playoffs until the get a 2 guard and a Center though..

You act like he was this great guy all along being kept on the bench....if he was such a good player he would have gotten more minutes.

I think the T-Wolves wasted money on this guy.....last year was his contract year like kingjames said and thats why he performed like that! Mcchale will relize this guy was a bust at the all-star break

It's not like he will suddenly decide to average 12 ppg next year. He will still have a good tenure witht he Wolves guys..I dont think he wants to be a journeyman anymore, so he will work hard.

Randy Foye is the rookie Wolves got in this years draft via trade.</div>Ahh Geez, looks like I'm getting old for my age. Yeah, I had Foye and Roy mixed up. But I wasn't sure that LA used the MLE. I'll never get those two mixed up again. :happy0144:
