http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/...rs-new-orleans-hornets-agree-chris-paul-trade I know this is old news but I feel it won't work out. Chauncey Billups at SG against other great SGs will be a mismatch. Blake Griffin is another Shawn Kemp who can jump but has no defense or other offensive skills & DeAndre Jordan is a good role player. The only defensive presence I truly see are Jordan & Butler. It will take the first 15 games to convince me that this is a legit squad to take the Western Conference.
My definition of "work out" in this case means be a contender for the championship. Honestly I'm don't think Paul will be a Clipper next season but for the time being this will just be a team that provides entertainment. Fun alley oops and excitement but not a legitimate contender.
Ah, I agree then. It does make them much better than they would have been, and will also make them a ton of money. If Paul signs with them, it will be a great deal, if not then it sucks.
Bringing Paul aboard to the Clips boosts ticket sales and gives the team the chance in a lifetime. I still remember when they used to have Sam Cassell & even Baron Davis...good teams too but never got far.
