Would be worth it only if we can get Deron. Deron/Wes/Nic/LA/C? That's a nice core to work with. Then we'd still have a full MLE(under lux tax amt), BAE, and Vet min to lure a big man like KG, Duncan, Hawes, or even keep Camby & GO.
Yes, it would be a nice core, although I LOL at the notion of a big name free agent actually choosing to sign here. If we surprise and make a WCF run, then maybe he'd consider it, but even then, it would because at least 2 of Felton/Crawford/Wallace outperformed expectations, in which case it would be debatable whether Deron would be better than the three combined. I think we agree here. If we had the opportunity to trade those three for Williams (with a contract extension), I do it. But would I trade those three for the opportunity to court Williams? Probably not.
