Veteran move. Camby is never shy to take some games off. Especially a meaningless game like this.

On the plus side, a lot of CJ tonight

I was thinking about this yesterday. I don't see why Sac would want Camby though, even if we threw in $3M.

At this point, would you trade Oden for Dalembert?

EDIT: I guess it doesn't matter anymore

Yeah, I would. In a heartbeat. 3 things come to mind: We'd be using the 15th spot for an active center (6th big man), Dalembert is one of the best at defending LMA (so it'd be good to keep him on our team), and he'd be a legit third big man allowing us to have 1-2 big men on the court at all times (key come playoff time).

Too bad the Rockets got him.

We will see if he misses any real games. He played with a broken finger for 2 seasons.

So Bynum will miss the first 5 games and Kobe with an injury that takes 3-4 weeks to heal(which could be tough considering he'll play with it).

And Phil Jackson isn't there to keep it together

Will be surprised if the Lakers finish a top 4 seed at this point

I wouldn't be surprised if we see more games off like this to avoid a serious injury. This is a hectic season and the older players need some rest. Could be a strategy as well.

I think they're going to suck ... a lot ... like "miss the playoffs with a 9 seed" suck.

I may just agree with you. We may just see how important Phil was to the franchise. I just don't think Brown has the ability to coach a team like this. I think he will try to implement the LJ strategy; which will be an epic fail because Kobe now wasn't like LJ then.

Hey I agreed on other things with you! Don't be mean and act like some forum martyr! Look at the other thread you posted and how I agreed with it.

Stupid Phil Jackson always bails when things start going south. He left the year Pippen and Jordan were going to leave. He quite the Lakers after they lost Shaq. Now quits again as the Lakers are going south.

Coincidence? I think he wants to maintain his high winning percentage.

Let's see how he does with a crappy team for once. Some coaches like to take on challenges, others just want to coach superstars.

Considering his success with superstars I don't blame him at all if thats all he's interested in doing.
