Without the MLE we've got no shot. Oh well.

I don't think a adding 6'6" center would have helped last night. We have that in Craig Smith. What we need is a 7 footer in there.

Hayes may be short, but he's been one of the most strangely effective defensive centers in the league the past few years. Smith is just an oddly effective 6'7" power-forward on offense -- they're really not comparable at all.

From what I saw last night we looked like we needed more height. No doubt Hayes is a better defender than Smith and would have been a better addition, but if Camby is out, I think we need more size. I was not in favor of Pryz before because he is old and slow, and we already had that in Camby, but I think what we need now is more shot blocking in the middle.

If youre looking at joel as a blocking force in th middle, at this point I see cj being able to provide blocks in the middle more than joel can no longer jump przybilla

Hayes would be a great get no matter how you slice it, problem is all we have is the BAE and he should get more, would love to steal him for that. I can see Nets go after him as recent twitter reports something wrong with his foot, I wonder if he snubs SAC after what they did?
