I get Tlong. He's good people.

Barkley changes the landscape of the South.

I believe he's saying Oregon will dominate the North and USC will dominate the South. The Champ game won't be another pushover.

How tough is USC going to be with Barkley, Woods, Lee, McNeal and most of their line returning>? Fun! They are going to have some holes to fill on the D-line, but man, this team is going to be good next year. USC's schedule includes Hawaii, Syracuse and the traditional ND game (late season). USC and Oregon could very well be undefeated with NC implications heading into their game. I hope it's late in the season!

The problem with it being late in the season, though, is that the conference championship game will likely be a rematch. Do we want to play USC twice in the span of 3 weeks? I think it'd be more interesting if it's similar to Wisconsin-MSU this year, where they played early in the conference season, and then there's a lot of speculation leading into the rematch as to how things will will change as a result of the teams' season-long development. Plus, they always say it's better to lose early than lose late (unless you're in the SEC), so an early-season matchup could still lead to NC implications for both teams going into the CC game.

I think our third conference game would be a perfect place to slot USC.

I see your point. Either way it's going to be a monumental game for the Pac but I think the later in the season it happens, the more monumental it will be on a national scale.

Mosely tweeted he heard it was rumored to be in September which would have worked in the Ducks favor with them breaking in a new QB, but no longer the case.

cant search for it at the moment though sorry.

Spencer Paysinger, a USC fan and kid that grew up next to USC, is tweeting some funny stuff about USC and Barkley. Check it out.

Presumably he means it should be a game between two top ten teams next year. Without Barkley that wouldn't be very likely.

Yep, Targus and Ed O explained it pretty well. USC was the only challenger to the Ducks from the South this year and they were on probation. USC vs Oregon next year is going to be special. The Ducks will need to bring their "A" game to the Coliseum.

Why? I thought UO was getting the death penalty for paying Will Lyles some money to land Lache Seastrunk?

That's a good point. If the NCAA finishes up their investigation prior to next season then the Ducks probably won't be eligible for the conference championship game. Thanks for reminding me!
