You've got to be kidding me. http://lakersblog.latimes.com/lakersblog/2011/12/andrew-bynum-suspension-reduced.html
He should have been banned for the entire season for the cheap shot on JJ Barea. That could have ended JJ's career. Even though JJ is a little euro bitch, no one deserves that kind of late-blowout game bullshit.
Weird that some may think stern wants the lakers in the finals. If that was the case, then he would have done everything in his power to get cp3 in an laker uniform.
I was going to say, on the rigged scale, I'd rather have Bynum with no suspension than LAL with CP3 for the puu puu platter and Dwight Howard for even less.
I was simply parroting the chant that has gone on in Blazer forums for as long as I can remember. Sounds kind of silly now, huh?
It shouldn't be about percentage. He should miss at least 5 games without money. A shorter season shouldn't lower his punishment, IMO.
The whole season huh? So Andre Miller probably should have been banned for life for his "free safety" hit on Blake Griffin last year right?
!!! I fucking hope you're kidding bro. If that was the case, like stated above, we would have Chris Paul. And giving us Bynum back one game early is going to be the difference in us getting to the Finals, right !? Fuckin' haterrrrrrr.
Really? The money? The money? That is your fucking point? The fucking money? Maybe the principle and the punishment would make sense, but you point out the fucking money??? His punishment was lowered by 1 game. In the grand scheme of things, does that 1 game really make a difference?
Andre Miller's action was a retaliating blow in the middle of the game and Blake Griffin wasn't airborne when he was hit. JJ Barea was airborne and the outcom was no longer I'm doubt. The Lakers were getting blown out and swept and Bynum showed poor sportsmanship and put another player at risk for no reason other than to hurt him. The fact that Bynum has done it before should have increased his sentence in my opinion. A message needs to be sent. Cut out the cheap shots. It sure as hell does. He should be docked pay for 5 games for what he did. The fact that the season is shorter shouldn't change that.. If you believe that one game doesn't make a difference then why would you care if he was suspended for 5 games? After all it's only one game, right?
Hmm no, the purpose was to have a full season and have him feel the damage of a 5 game suspension. He's already lost 16 game checks, your argument is unfocused.
This doesn't show that Stern is trying to help the Lakers. This shows that Stern is easily influenced by Laker lobbying because they're old guard in the league and get through to him more easily than the Blazers would. Does anyone think a Blazer player would have gotten a similar reduction? So is he trying to cheat for them on purpose? No. Does he give them advantages because he's biased for them? Yes.
How many lockouts have there been? This doesn't strike me as particularly odd. And he did it for Charlie Villanueva, and he should do it for all players in this situation.
