Re: Pierce to sign 3 year extension!!!!!!!!!! I think that the Celts def. need to win in this three year period, otherwise IDK if Paul will sign another contract.This is good news though. The young players around him are growing and developing and Paul knows that in a year or two they will progress enough for the Celts to be in the playoff race.

Re: Pierce to sign 3 year extension!!!!!!!!!! ohhh the truththat really makes me happy, I was listening to EEI about a week ago and they were talking about scenarios where if Paul was traded what would they do as a alternate way of rebuilding and it sounded so sketchy and none of the ideas they had made any sense. This is a huge relief as a Celtics fan and as a Paul Pierce fan. He has gone through so much with this city and this ballclub, it's good to see he respects us a ton and wants to be here.

I agree it is pricey, but we all want Paul in Boston, but still this shouldn't be that much of a shocker.

Re: Pierce to sign 3 year extension!!!!!!!!!! I think Paul Pierce is worth every penny. I love Paul Pierce, and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY he re-signed! $20M a year is huge money, but I don't care, I am just happy Paul is staying. Paul Pierce = Celtic for life, you can't put a price on that.
