I like Rudy and wish him the best... Unless of course, when we are jockeying for a playoffs seed higher than Denver. :D

I hope he does well. At first I saw a decent 8 4 and 2 on his box score then saw he shot 2-8 and 3-6 from the Stripe. Good to see him shooting 6 FT's though :)

Awww is right. Quite the Story.

Sounds like Rudy finally found the coach for himself, and one that believes in him.

Please, the problem was not a lack of belief in Rudy from anyone other than perhaps Rudy himself.

And his vision... Didn't he get checked last summer and had to wear glasses?

I didn't realize Fernando Martin died in a car accident. Effin Blazers curse.

Well, I hope Rudy the best. Never hated the guy. Hopefully, he can be like Drazen, minus the car crash.

The Blazers new faster pace would have done wonders for Rudy.

Ironic, isn't it? I guess it was just bad timing that Rudy's career in Portland totally overlapped Brandon Roy's and the resulting slowest pace in the league year after year.

It will be interesting to see how both Miller and Rudy do in Denver's faster paced system. It also seems a bit twisted that we traded the one guy who "doesn't play like we play" and then completely changed our style to one that is compatible with his.

Guess we'll find out in person on Thursday. I'll be at the RG with my kids and we will all be giving Andre and Rudy standing ovations when they enter the game.

I've been trying to have a "special bond" with Rudy for years... damn restraining orders

I liked Rudy when he was here - and his first year was fantastic.

I just have a feeling that once George Karl starts requesting defense from him or does not give him tons of time - he will have a meltdown.

Good luck to Rudy. I like crawford better for this role, however.

I was in Madrid over the summer, they have a small section in the Real Madrid museum for their basketball players, including Fernando Martin (Sabonis too).

Spot on. This up-tempo system would also have gotten the best out of Mills as well as Fernandez.

Why? Rudy couldn't even hit a 3 pointer. He had no mid range came, couldn't penetrate. He's an awful player who regressed every year. He needs to go back to playing Euro-ball. He's out of his league here.
