The science behind the uniform. They aren't just 'good looks': http://www.nikeinc.com/news/oregon-...vative-football-uniform-to-date-for-rose-bowl
d'oh yeah you are correct. Its in the back and blends in with the Wings almost. I still dont like it minmized really. But thats just me being an old grouch I'm sure I will like it more when I see it in person. Also I think I read McNamara tweeted that these were for the Rose Bowl "and beyond" are the other ones being replaced I wonder? It is the 3rd year in the cycle, which is normally when they are replaced lol.
The best part is that the O located there is the only thing Wisconsin defenders will see as our RB's and WR's run into the EZ.
Here's a pic of the new lid. It's a lot more shiny than I thought: https://twitter.com/#!/duckfootball/status/152050881154662400
Here's how the uni #'s change color: http://twitter.com/#!/DuckFootball/status/152055203925987329/photo/1
crazy. I'm wondering if part of it also has to do with how bright it is there or something. With the reflection of the ceiling. Here is another pic and check out how bright Aliotti was
one thing I will give them... they are about 4,345 times better than the "Grellow" helmets with the flames on them. Goodness I hated those.
I like the uniforms, and I like that they're changing. Normally I'm all for tradition, etc., but when you're Oregon (and have almost no tradition when compared to USC, Penn State, Notre Dame, and a lot of the other schools that rarely if ever change their uniforms) you have to stand out and this is a good way. As for the helmets being too shiny: I want to see how they look on the field. I anticipate they'll look pretty darn cool... looking traditional (sort of like the Eagles helmet) from one angle and then entirely different from another. It's good that it's one more (positive) reason that Oregon's in the news when we're trying to close the deal with recruits. Ed O.
