We need Greg for the playoffs this year, as healthy as is possible for him, regardless of where he plays next year (it will be Portland). I see nothing wrong with getting him on a timeline with that goal in mind, and minimizing the chances for another premature blowout. That's aiming for a window of opportunity. Try to remember the Walton years and what it meant to have our center finally healthy for a playoff run, before the wheels came off again.
