I'm actually quite pumped we have these 3 good guards. But to answer CB4, yes Delonte will drop back to the 2 sometimes. Doc has already said he would like to see a combo of Teflar (or Rondo) in with Delonte at the same time so Telfair/Rondo can run the point while Delonte uses his shooting touch to full strength and takes advantage of his scoring abilities. But at the end of the day, one of either Wally, Delonte, Bassy, Gerald, TA, or Rondo pretty much has to be dealt in order to have a nice, set rotation.</div>I think you could package:Wally/TA/Scabs for a pretty nice Center
Re: Celtics-Raptors video highlights!!!! i don't know if i'd give up both Wally and TA for a center, bc we'd have no depth on the wings. I'd be willing to trade Wally and Scabs for a good Center, or TA and Scabs for a decent center.

What would you define as a pretty nice Center? I just want to remind you that TA is a good defender and he is explosive, and a pretty good scorer, and Wally scores 20 ppg. Your scoring average would take a major hit if you did that imo.

He does everything pretty well..12/10, not bad..I'm not saying to trade for him, but he's the type of guy we ned to look for..
Re: Celtics-Raptors video highlights!!!! the only problem is, alot of people with nice centers aren't willing to split with them bc they are such a rarity.
Re: Celtics-Raptors video highlights!!!! Oh, and for everyone confused about what position Pierce/Wally play - put it this way... Wally started at the 3, and Pierce started at the 2. Wally is strictly a 3 in my eyes, he's not quick enough to keep up with SG's, Pierce is. Wally is also a little bit taller than Pierce and is more solidly built (upper body). So, yeah, Pierce started at the 2, Wally started at the 3. Also remember people Pierce was only a set SF one and a half years in his career. Sure, he's good enough, tough enough to play both positions, but 85% of his career he;s been a strict SG, especially his early years in his career (1998-2002) where Eric Williams/Kedrick Brown/Antoine Walker played most of the SF minutes, while Pierce played basically only the 2.
Re: Celtics-Raptors video highlights!!!! that's why we've been trying to acquire a "power 3" for so long. That's why i think Ron Artest would be such a great fit.
Re: Celtics-Raptors video highlights!!!! that dunk by Gerald at the end was nastyAlso, Rondo looks incredibly quick. Really good to see. What's with that announcer? He was trying to make it look like an AND1 show.
Re: Celtics-Raptors video highlights!!!! Another problem is that I already mentioned is that the Celtics scoring would go down alot if they lost Wally, who scores 20 ppg, and Allen, who energizes the offense off the bench for 7 a game..

I love what he brings on the defensive end though.
Re: Celtics-Raptors video highlights!!!! That Telfair pass following up to that SICK dunk by G-Money was the best play of the game, imo. You guys seriously kick ass in the summer league...while we're 0-4. :no1:

Re: Celtics-Raptors video highlights!!!! I'm not sure, but it's just summer league. Check out the Celtics official summer league thread - some SICK stats for the Celtics players, despite the loss. I wouldn't look too much into the loss though, players are experimenting and trying to correct their weaknesses in game situations.
