I agree with you, but if he does realize that when he is on OKC he won't get traded. I would take the chance on trading for him and hoping he would learn from it. But it is all moot because OKC would not trade him to Portland.

    The Nets are so bad.

    So are the Magic.

Dwight and Deron have the same exact problem: surrounded by scrubs.

Look at the rosters of all the teams involved. It isnt as clear as you make it seem. Lot of it was just luck of the draw.

If Brooklyn lands Howard they'll have the best 1-2 punch in the League IMO but the rest of the roster would be D-League material.

Can you still win with that? I don't think so.

But I suspect you may get some veterans chasing the ring, that will come for less.

The only veterans that do that typically aren't worth much more than the veteran's minimum anyway. Guys under 32 or so just don't do that.

No, but it doesn't hurt when guys like Haslem and Battier take less money to play for you. If NJ got Dwight, I think they could get similar role players to come for less.

Amare and Melo have to be the worst defending forward duo in the League.

    Horrific defense.

Their schedule has been pretty brutal, and the loss of Tyson Chandler was huge

Well no, since Westbrook and Derrick Rose are essentially the same player. So Russell would be just fine in Chicago.

People have created this double standard where Rose is allowed to ballhog and he doesn't get called out on it, Westbrook plays at the same level and handles the ball better than Durant, and all of a sudden he's a bad guy.

Durant has a massive usage rate already, there's not much more Russell can do to fix that.

    +1

Westbrook is being made out to be some sort of bad guy. It's all the media's fault.

Rose doesn't have the best player in basketball on his team. Much different scenario IMO. If Westbrook was somewhere else, he becomes the #1 option and his ball hogging ways would be accepted. The difference is Durant is a better player, scorer, and star than Westbrook. There is something wrong if Westbrook was getting 5 more shots a game than Durant. KNOW YOUR ROLE!!!!

But Durant is getting his touches so the criticism is overblown.

If the Thunder want to go anywhere Westbrook has to develop.
