All that preseason talk about pickin' up the pace this season seems to be true. I know it's only been 3 games, but I swore I'd never see the following....... As of 1AM on January 1st 2012....... We are #1 in the NBA in points scored per game. 1- Portland 106.3 18- New York 95.0 25- Phoenix 89.3 26- Golden State 89.0 http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/team/_/stat/team-comparison-per-game
I am waiting for some road games. In years past when Nate allowed the team to open it up a little bit...nothing like this year, he always put the brakes on when we went on the road.
I had the same thought. I could see him panicking and going to a force the ball inside half court game. But we shall see.
I think he should slow it down on the road. Not to the point where it is slow, just slower. Keep pushing it like they have been, but there is nothing wrong with backing it out and setting up LMA when the easy bucket is not available. Nate quoted Wooden the other day : "Be quick, but not in a hurry"
I personally don't, no. I think the team was really not used correctly. We should have pushed tempo more
