The leading candidates are of course Adam Morrison and Brandon Roy. But Randy Foye might also come out on top. It'll be interesting. If Rondo can get some time, he should be pretty steady.

I think it's between Brandon Roy and Randy Foye. But, Brandon Roy will have more touches on offense. The Blazers were pretty pathetic on offense, but the award could go to LaMarcus Aldridge too.

So basically, who do we think will win Rookie of the Year?Well, I think the ROY trophy is going to be between Adam Morrison and Brandon Roy. I love both these players, and I think both of them will have excellent NBA careers. But 3rd in the running - Randy Foye.Morrison is in a real good situation as well. He has a chance to be an immediate #1 option on this team and he has 2 good playmakers feeding him the ball (Felton/Knight.. if Knight isn't traded). He will be the #1 offensive option on this team probably right away, and he has all the tools to be 15 ppg, maybe more.I like the situation Roy is in, with a rebuilding team that has a few very nice young pieces to go along with him (Aldridge, Webster, Jack, Blake) and a coach who is a good teacher. He has the complete game, little flaws, and I think he is going to be good next year.Randy Foye is my 3rd guy in the running. He is in a good situation in Minnesota. Sure they added Mike James, and Marcus Banks is iffy at this point on whether he'll be back or not. But he is a combo guard who will score if anything, and provide a lot of energy for this ballclub. His playmaking, in my opinion, will develope a lot faster than expected because he has 3 awesome scorers to feed (KG, Ricky, James). Now, my longshot guy: Ronnie Brewer. I am practically in love with this kid, and I think he will be incredibly valuable to the Jazz next year, and for years to come. He's very athletic, a good defender, a good penetrator, versatile, good playmaker for his size. Sure he may have wierd shot mechanics, but I'll tell you what - he is going to be a player in this league.

Roy or Foye. I hope its foye, but i don't know if he will get enough minutes. He certianly won't, barring injury, get more touches than Roy. I don't think Rondo will get much recognition because his main stength is his defense, and ROY is usually given to top scorers/redbounders. I agree that Brewer has a shot. He was my second favorite player going into the draft.

But I agree Rondo won't get much recognition, even if he does get playing time. Sure, he definitely has a chance to become a key rotation guy, but not a top 5 candidate for rookie of the year. I think Rondo is a guy that's going to be very solid in his 1st 2-3 years in the league, then have a breakout year.

Brandon Roy. Because he has a ready for the NBA game. He is a decent shooter, decent driver, good passer, good ball handling skills, good at getting to the line. Also because I think he will get the most minutes out of any rookie in the NBA next year.I think second goes to Foye. We've seen what he can do. He is an explosive player with a good shot. He plays good defense too. He is currently pacing the summer league with 25.7 ppg average.Next is Morrison. I dont think nor Gerald Wallace or Morrison can play the 2, so I think Morrison will have to share alot of minutes with Wallace next year. Morrison wont make a huge impact on anything besides the scoring charts imo. I predict a 15-17 ppg year for Morrison, but I still put the other two guys over himDark horse/homer pick: Andrea Bargnani. I dont know. This guy could explode for my Raptors and have a great offensive year. Everyone already knows he has a great shot for a big man. But he also has a complete scoring game too. He can drive, post up, turn around jumper. He has a very vast repertoire. He doesnt have post moves yet, but neither does Dirk Nowitzki. He could come in and explode for like 17 points. I dont know. I predict 13-16 ppg from him though. I think he will go along well next to Bosh, and he might be able to take some defensive pressure off of him too.

Here are my candidates for ROY: 1. Brandon Roy - He can do everything, score, rebound, pass, steal, anything. Has a great chance to win ROY and alongside LaMarcus Aldridge things will go even smoother.2. Adam Morrison - Despite being a poor defender, and slow on defense, I have to agree that Morrison has a good chance of winning it in Charlotte. He is put into a situation where he can provide leadership (even if he is a rookie). 3. Ronnie Brewer - Yep, I think Brewer is a candidate, too. Great selection by Utah, very athletic player, can play the PG/SG positions, good ball-handling skills, and a decent jumpshot despite the childhood injury. Excells in the fast break as well. Alongside Deron Williams in the backcourt, he could be ROY and Utah as a team could be playoff contenders.

Randy Foye I think will win it. And Rudy Gay I think can be the runner up. Bargnani from Toranto is the sleeper.

As everyone said, Roy, Foye, and Morrison will be the top 3. I think the unknown factor will be Barganani, just as Yao was four years ago (was it that long ago). Can he play? Is he just another Michael Doleac? Or a Dirk Nowitzki?

But pretty much I think he is underrated.

Michael Doleac cant even shoot. He plays nothing like Doleac..

He's just giving an example. It has nothing to do with comparison. Like comparing JJ Redick to Trajon Langdon. They don't play like each other. But they could end up like each other.Your pretty snappy these days CB4.

My top 3 are Roy, Foye, and Brewer. I usually bother to explain myself but this is basically a thread where I'd just be repeating the same stuff other people are saying about the players so I'm not gonna bother.

I mean Utah wanted a scorer and they got one so Brewer should be getting a lot of minutes and is NBA ready. He can produce right off the bat for Utah.Yao Ming is overrated for the fact that he led the the all stars in voting but i understand why that was. I honestly don't think there is a player who is the most overrated in the league. Nobody really stands out that I can think of.
