Michael Redd or Ray Allen?

Who is the better player and why?

Allen of course. He can kill the threes. I doubt Redd is going to be able to get near him and Reggie. Plus I'd say Redd is overpaid for sure...Also, Allen is like a 88 in NBA Live and Redd is only 76, so obviously...[/sarcasm]

 

Redd, he isnt all threes, and he is the superstar of the bucks.And he is a buckeye allum

Redd didn't average 25ppg on three pointers....he can take it inside and get to the line...something he couldn't do 2 years ago...The rules changes really help him though.

 

Um guys Redd unlike most pure shooters actually can play a lick of D

 

Redd is a pretty bad defender, so is Ray Allen. You cant give defense to the advantage of either players here..

 

The better question is who would u have on ur team? minus the age crap. cause most of u would just say well redd stil potential blah blah i'd rather have jordan at this age than jr smithhe has potential to fck up. Redds offense is very nice and goes inside very good. HE impressed me with some of the post moves ive seen rarely got a chance to see him do. Redd is my 4th fav. player but my #1 takes the cake due to his success in STATS..

 

He's an active defender, at least the guy PLAYS defense

 

None of them are good defenders..

ill say Ray Allen, he's just an overall better shooter in my opinion.

 

I will take Ray Allen any day of the week. I will even go as far to say that Ray Allen is a top 4 shooting gaurd in the NBA. The only reason you would think otherwise is because you dont see Ray driving to the hole and dunkin on peoples heads or crossing people over every night. That is because he doesnt have to. He can if he wants to though. Ray Allen is the most fundamentally sound player in the NBA bar none. Isnt worried about putting on a good show. Hes worried about playing the best game that he can. Ray Allen can do everything that Redd can do, but more consistantly.
