Wow, I just shudder when I think how good this kid will be. He has a big body. He can overpower people, he is 7"0 and can run the floor well, he is quick, he is a great shotblocker, great rebounder, he has a decent mid range, good passer, he already has pretty solid post moves and he's just coming out of high school, hell, this kid even has a hookshot in his arsenal. And to top it off, he is a great kid.His weaknesses arent much besides the fact that he doesnt have a very good post game. But you cant really count that. How many high school kids have great post games? He will work on that. You know he is good when they count a calm demeanour as a weakness.I really think he should stay more then 1 year in college. I think he needs to work on the post game, so that when he comes to the NBA he will be dominate from the get go. He also needs to keep on working out and getting stronger. So we already know that he will be one of the NBA's greats but on what level will he be? Do you think he will be as succesful as Centers like Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaq or Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Or as succesful as guys like Patrick Ewing or David Robinson. Or do you think he will be on the level as someone like Alonzo Mourning? How good will he be?Maybe he wants to come out next year because he could be sure that the Knicks wouldnt draft him :happy0144: Haha, I have to get one Knick joke in there every day or so lol.

He will be a beast in the nba for a long time. He'll protect the basket like few others in our era, and he's very athletic. Whoever wins next year's lottery (if he comes out) is going to be a very lucky team. Oden is a real difference maker.

Greg Oden should be special, I think he will be an all-star whether he develops a post game ot not. He will be that good on defense and the boards. If he develops even the kind of post game and overall talent level that say a Kevin Love ('07) has right now, he should be one of the greatest centers to ever play.

He will be the second or third best player in the league for at least ten years. Lebron and Dwade probably have the edge over him. But, he will be the most wanted player this year no doubt. Whoever gets the pick will no doubt be in good shape for a long time. Chicago has the best chance, because they have the Knicks pick. They will be so stacked, it kills me to think that Isiah is that stupid.

Just think how sick Chicago would be if they got Greg Oden> That would be an immediate dynasty. If they got him, I would definately expect 3 or more championships..

I just got the SLAM magazine that has Oden on their cover, issue 99. He reminds me most of David Robinson. Same height, same characteristics: both players are pretty muscular and excellent on the defensive end. I read a bit of the article that SLAM wrote about him and it said he has really improved on his offensive game. I'm definitely excited about this kid, though I dont know much about him.

This guy is ridiculous...he is an AMAZING shot blocker and overall defender and is also a great rebounder. He runs the floor for a big man very well like CB4 mentioned and can score in the low block(that will also get better overtime considering his body type). One downfall on him is that i know a 7 foot guy that goes to boerne(my highschool) who has played against greg oden a few times and he told me that when he guarded him, he was extremely lazy. I dont know if that is true but it could be a downfall...

Dont call me a tard. You nee to stop calling me names. We dont do that here, maybe at some other forum it's allowed, but not here.Defense is definately one of Greg's strengths, and he hasnt even played college ball yet. He is a great shotblocker and a dominant post defender. If you check nbadraft.net his defense is rated 9/10, which is pretty amazing since he has never played ball past HS yet. He is going to be a great defender.

CB4, you were asking for it though...I think he can be better than Patrick Ewing was. Maybe the level of David Robinson or Hakeem Olajuwon, but it's though to say with his wrist injury.

His wrist injury could make free throw shooting a tough thing for Greg Oden. That never stopped guys like Shaq and Wilt from being Succesfull though. I think he will be an AMAZING player. All I've seen from him is some highlights of him. Looks promising. I'm already a fan of him. Hopefully he can take over the C spot when Shaq retires because a heir is needed soon.
