Figure we can spew some of the topics into their own categories. It's not scientifically logical for Atheists to exist, therefor I discredit their very existence.

    Thoughts?

    Atheism

Atheist is a simply a term labeling honest people with ordinary reasoning powers. The term need not exist, as it simply describes the absence of brainwashing or brain damage in an otherwise normal healthy human being.

You expect someone who "believes" in god(s) and takes the bible as a literal guide to living to be able to discern truth from satire and parody?

A lot of atheists are attention whores who look down on those who have a different point of view. They often try to make a specific point to let them know they are an atheist and that they are better than you because they don't believe in the "myths".

Asking them if atheists actually exists annoy them to no end because the whole bane of their existence is being recognized and part of the "enlightened".

i'm pretty sure the OP was about to make the typical creationist website talking point that it's impossible to disprove the existence of something, so therefor atheists don't exist.

And a lot of atheists aren't bothered at all by nonsensical questions or gross over-generalizations. What's your point?

Or I just used the funny website that one atheist used on a believer right back at them. Lighten up Francis, there is humor on both sides of the coin. Your just not used to it becuase most atheist don't have to deal with joking Christians. It's easy to make humor on those so serious about their faith. Funny how offended you got though. Made me chuckle.

That page is funny, especially since it's clearly a kind of wiki-editing battleground. Some of the lines are clearly inserted by folks making fun of religion, while others are counter-attacks by the god-fearing faithful. :)

    Case in point:

Totally! Hey it's fun to make fun if you don't believe the other right? It becomes easy because the one making fun holds no emotional connection to that point.

It can be fun, but in all honesty, the emotional connection part is exactly why I try NOT to go overboard on teasing and joking. It's hard sometimes to separate an attack on a belief system from an attack on a believer, and (as an agnostic) I don't think any of us have all the answers. Therefore I try to temper my own strong beliefs with humility -- we're all just seeking truth out of what we've been given.

This is more of a response for Maris; who brought up this wonderful link in the first place. The forum had an honest debate; that I loved reading until the punch lines kicked in. And I figured, Hey lets use humor on both sides.

Many creationists believe the biggest joke Satan made was leading the world to believe God doesn't exist.
