Derek Fisher wasn't going to lead you anywhere, his asking price was ridiculous....

completely agree with you guys, just feel that d-fish shoulda been a laker for life, and his familiarity with coaching staff and kobe coulda lent a sense of stability on the court and in the locker room.

He was looking for his payday. Oh well, I don't think having Fisher would make that much difference.

You guys will like Shammond Williams though. We had him on the C's a few years back and he brings a lot of energy, some outside shooting, and pressure D.

Most reports have him as a guy much like Chucky Atkins, with little to no defense, a fairly quick first step, and ok shooting.

He is very quick and a decent passer. He is very athletic. He is 6'1 200lb, he has had ok averages over his career in the little amout of pt he has gotten. I was bummed when the C's traded him to Denver. Here is his player page...http://www.nba.com/playerfile/shammond_williams/?nav=pageIt doesn't show but he went to North Carolina and he is 31 years old now.</div>

Shammond Williams [IMG][IMG][IMG]Following the 2003-04 season, Williams signed with Unics Kazan of the Russian Superleague and in 39 games, averaged 17.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 5.6 assists. Prior to the 2005-06 season, the 31-year-old New York native signed with Winterthur FC Barcelona and in 38 games, averaged 12.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists. In his time overseas, Williams helped lead FC Barcelona to the 2006 Euroleague Final Four while also earning MVP honors in the 2005 FIBA Europe League All-Star Game.
