WinnersToronto- They acquire a true pg, they get a decent Center (despite what Stephen A thinks), and they got a guy with some potential in Bargnani.Chicago- Although i believe they vastly overpayed Ben Wallace, they had a good draft and they are now a defensive powerhouse.Portland- If they can get rid of Darius Miles and possibly Zach Randolph, this offseason will be a huge turnaround for the franchise. I like how management didn't worry about the costs of things (they gave cash in two trades despite actually LOSING money the past two years). They have a brilliant young core in LaMarcus Aldridge, Brandon Roy, Sergio Rodriguez, Juan Dixon.Losers:Phoenix- They haven't done anything to make themselves better. They traded two great back-up point guard options in Rondo and Rodriguez for a future pick and cash. Rondo could end up being the steal of the draft, and i have high hopes for Rodriguez. Oh, they did get Pike tho. :happy0144: :rolleyes:Houston- I'm still very confused if the Battier trade was actually a prank or not. Can someone please tell me? If the trade went throuhg, this was a horrible move for Houston.Seattle- The draft was horrible for them, they just picked upo another mediocre option at Center, now they have 3 young Centers. Also, Wilcox is kind of f*cking them over by wanting $9 mill.Yet to be seen:Boston- They got two pg's with great potential, but they aren't done dealing. I see them making another strong push for iverson, and hopefull y a successful one. I think Rondo will be a hell of a player tho.

I wouldn't necesarily say that Phoenix is a loser, there are plenty of teams who haven't improved themselves yet. A team thats done a lot for what seems to be strange reasons is the Hornets. They've added 3 long athletic big men with no offensive game. I guess the jury's still out on them, they're probably a draw in this debate.

I am with you in saying I have absolutely no idea what the Rockets were trying to do with that one, but credit Jerry West for stealing Rudy Gay away from them.

Winners-Raptors. They traded a young player who didnt really fit in anywhere, (especially after drafting Bargnani) for a very good young pg who can move the tempo of our offense and get Bosh the ball. We also got Anthony Parker who is pretty good at everything judging by his statlines, and is probably the best player in Europe, and also John Salmons, who can score off the bench for us. We also trade Matt Bonner, Eric Williams to the Spurs for Rasho. We finally get our Center, and I am very happy with that. Colangelo has been pro-active this off-season and he has done a great job. They also draft a great shooter, who can stretch the defense apart (allowing Bosh to thrive inside easier) and who is also pretty quick and can drive, and set in his turnaround jumper. He wont be great in his 1st year, but then again, neither was Dirk when he came into the League...Bulls-They sign Ben Wallace who is probably the best overall defensive player in basketball, and who can also get you 10-12 rebounds a night. They trade Chandler for another talented guard and a decent post PF. They get some more cap room because of that deal. What more could you ask for? They also draft Thomas, who is quick and has amazing athleticism, defensive talent and overall talent and potential. They also get Thabo Sefalosha, who is a hard worker and a good defender with a pretty good shooting and quite a bit of talent.Hornets-Hornets have acquired some great players this off-season. They signed Peja, who can get them 20 ppg, even though he is a ? because his ppg averages have gone down every year for the past 6 years (unless you count his 30 game year 3 years ago). But he can still score them 18-20 ppg and shoot the ball, which was one of their major weaknesses. They get rid of a player who was feuding with the coach and add a very good rebounder, shot blocker and defender in Tyson Chandler, who is still only 24 or 25..They also drafted Hilton Armstrong, who I think will be a good defensive Center.Blazers-I think they're in the right direction. They drafted 2 very good players in Aldridge and Roy. Aldridge is a pretty good post player, pretty good defender, great shot blocker, great rebounder, who can run the floor, can be quick, and can shoot the jumper. He has the whole package for a PF/C, and I think he will become the best PF in the draft personally. Roy is a good shooter, defender, driver and he can get to the line, and score points. Both are very good players, and both will fill pretty big holes. They also get rid of Theo Ratliff and his contract, and seem to be on the rise with their young guys...Losers-Suns-They lose Tim Thomas, and his replacement is...Eric Piatkowski? Come on..Then they trade away their draft pick. They also couldnt sign Salmons. What a disaster!Sonics-I voted for them for pretty much drafting Saer Sane with the 10th pick. That was a huge reach. He has quite a bit of potential, but he has a LONG, LONG, LONG way to go, and is a huge project at this point. They dont even know how he will turn out, and if I had to pick my future bust of the draft, it would be him for being picked 10th..Knicks-Renaldo Balkman and Mardy Collins. Wow. Way to go Isiaih. These guys wont be sh*t, and didnt you draft Nate Robinson last year as well? Collins will get 0 playing team behind either Marbury and Francis, and Nate. Balkman was no where near 20th on the mock drafts, that one came out of left field. Another disaster waiting to happen is KMart coming to New York. He is another lazy player with a huge contract. Could the Knicks get any stupider?

I thought about them, but I decided not to put them in there. Matt Bonner can shoot off the bench, Eric Williams wont do much of anything. And also there are still a few Centers out there capable of doing as well as Nazr and Rasho like Cato, Elson, Wright for example. I expect them to get some centers..

you think Cato and Elson are capable of doing what nazr and Rasho did? that's a joke. Matt Bonner sucks, get over it.

I'm hearing rumors of trading KT too.... I'm feeling a bit sick. So close to a championship Sarver, why you do this? :brickwall:

What did Nazr and Rasho do? Rasho was a complete joke playing for the Spurs, and I can say I have never seen a Spurs fan who liked that guy. Elson and Cato are talented, and besides Tim would do most of the inside defense anyway...And Matt may not be multi-talented, but you shouldnt say he sucks. He can come off the bench and give you 6-8 ppg. He is a very good shooter..And he's still very young too..

Yeah, the Spurs aren't doing that well so far. They may have added a couple players, but they're aging pretty badly. It's not the same situation as a few years ago. They're trying pretty hard to add a center, it seems (maybe not hard enough), and sign those old draft picks, but it's just not coming out. Until they actually get a center and some youth on the bench, then meh.The Knickerbockers are doing terribly, of course. Their draft was mediocre at best, and as already said they are trying to add KMart for whatever reason. They've failed to do what last year's other really terrible teams did... move players.Like Portland and Toronto did. They picked up some great players and moved out some that they either weren't satisfied with or needed to move out to get something vital. As the saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it." Well, I guess the reverse would be true as well. Something was broke, and there's only so many ways to fix it. You certainly aren't going to do better by sitting on your ass.

i think Ney Jersey needs to get into the game. it shows every year that they need toughness and they could get it if they sign a gritty guy like Reggie Evans or maybe even Drew Gooden if they can make an offer that the Cavs can't match. Also, Orlando needs to get Fred Jones. Dump DeShawn Stevenson, he can go play for Golden State for all I care

I think New Jersey is a winner though. The draft was amazing, now they have the most underrated young core in the league.PG:Marcus WilliamsSG:Antoine WrightSF: Richard JeffersonPF: Josh BooneC: Nenad KristicAdd that in with J-Kidd and VC, and you have a huge sleeper for next year.

houston wasn't exactly jipped.. they made what they thoguht was the best for the year move. they want to win now and they gave up rudy gay for a proven nba player w/ hustle and defense. *shrugs* if you guys think that's stupid then okay. not everyone likes to roll the dice w/ rookies. stromile swift wasn't fitting into our system and i'm not exactly mad that we let him go. we'll probably be trying to find another PF though. which isn't easy.

Roll the dice with rookies? Everyone knows that Rudy Gay will become a great NBA player. He is getting better at shooting, he is a good defender, good stealer, very athletic, and he can drive and dunk. He needs work on his ball handling, but he is still only like 21 or something. I personally think that he will become the best player in that draft. That isnt rolling dice, he's going to become a superstar..

Celtics have had a pretty good offseason..They got arguably the steal of the draft in Rajon Rondo, picked up a top Rook FA- In Allan Ray..Extended Pierces contract for 3 more years..Picked up Telfair, so we got our true PG now, and Delonte West can play his natural 2 position..It might not be over though..Still a long ways to go with the AI rumors..

Prove it?I just showed you what things he is great at. He has tons of potential, and he will become a great player for the Grizzlies. Your going to be crying later on when you know that the Rockets missed out on him..
