What do you mean did he save the NBA? What did he save it from? I just think that Lebron along with Wade, Bosh, and Melo really changed the NBA. It's not what it used to be. The league has definitely been revamped. And these four players are the next up-and-coming superstars, they're making the league what it is and encouraging other young players to step up and do the same.
Why don't you go and explain the topic..You can't expect anyone to post if they have no idea what your asking.

Yes. There didnt seem to be any new superstars coming into the NBA before Bosh, Melo, Wade and Lebron hit the show. I think TV ratings would have been alot worse if these guys never made it. The NBA would be alot more boring..
LeBron didn't save the NBA. for the first 2 years his team didn't make the playoffs, how does that save the NBA? if anything did, it was the feud between Kobe and Shaq. if not for that, alot of people wouldn't have watched or even followed basketball. Now that it's over, the NBA is fine, it needs no saving.
I don't think he "saved" the league from anything. But all I can say is that entire 2003 draft class made/is going to make this league a hell of a lot better.
I agree, I think LeBron and Wade are about to take the league to a place it hasn't been since Jordan. The NBA has been waiting for this since Jordan retired from the Bulls. It's weird that Kobe, T-Mac and Vince didn't do it though, but I guess they're still here with plenty of years left in them.

I mean you got Melo, Bosh, Hinrich, Ford, Kaman, Ridnour, David West, Diaw, Josh Howard.. am I missing anybody? Don't even think about saying Darko lol (yet, anyway).

My Grandma doesn't have a clue who Chris Kaman is, but she knows LeBron and Dwayne Wade.

Well I know LeBron added that "figure"You know, the type that everyone knows, even if the don't like basketball. Sure you had guys like Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O' Neal, but they are veterans. LeBron is a guy who people have been attatched to since day 1, and I think it helped. Did it save the NBA?No
well lebron sort of saved the nba in a sense.. look at him he's everywhere. they put him in commercials, shoes, nba, biographies, he was creating hype before he was even in the NBA. he's like. LOOK AT ME PLAY BASKETBALL YOU'LL LEARN SOMETHING.i don't think anyone has done that so much as lebron has, not even close.
i dont think so. LeBron may of made the league more interesting, but we have other guys like Kobe, VC, TMac, and AI who have been doing that since 96... i think they are the same as back then, young, new, exciting, and changing the way we play the game... but it has already been saved by the guys above because realisticly when MJ, Magic, and Bird retired, the NBA didnt know what to do and which way to go

Not upcoming players in the league...
Thanks for giving Caron and Gil some love anyways, CB4. -------------------------------------------------------------Yes, I think LeBron did really save the NBA. TV ratings have gone up a ton, and LeBron, Flash, Melo, Bosh, are part of the class of '03 that will become superstars in the following years. Thats when the NBA will be at its best, and when you have guys like Greg Oden, OJ Mayo, and Kevin Durant entering the league, its only going to get better. LeBron is also arguably the best NBA player to come out of high school. It's neck-to-neck with him and Kobe, though.
