I can 100% agree on that as well. I think Crawford has it in his brain that he wants to replace Roy. And that is never going to happen.

Yes, exactly. Awful shot selection deserves to be called out.

There were times against Cleveland that I just posted LOLs on the blown layups by Felton and crazy shots by Crawford. I was just wondering why they think somehow it will go in.

I don't know ... Those are what I would call "coach-able moments." I hope Nate isn't too close to Crawford that he can reign him in and conversely I hope Crawford has enough respect for Nate to listen. This has got to get cleaned up.

He has done great vs everyone else. Either way to small a sample size to say either way.

I totally agree that the sample size is too small to draw any conclusions from, but to say "he has done great." Really?

I see one "great," two "adequates" and 5 "blurgs."

I've always been under the mindset that I don't really care about a PG's numbers. As long as they are facilitating the offense and not falling in love with the jumpshot I'm okay. Felton is great at keeping the defense on its toes and great in the pick and roll. Were 8 games in, the season should just be starting, chemistry with his new teammates is still a work in progress. Felton's numbers aren't great, but I'm happy with the way he's quarterbacking the team.

Felton has been the engine that got this team to play fast. From this perspective - he has been great. Last night - he had a lot of bleh moments - but some bullet passes in traffic that were magnificent. Mostly to Gerald. I suspect that some time getting used to his new team-mates (and vice versa) is in order before we can see him really working well with this group.

I somewhat agree with this sentiment. I don't think Felton looks confused about running the point and I'm sure some of his struggles have to do with no training camp and simple conditioning, but 35%-ish on field goals is just brutal ... still time to turn it around, but if he still looks like this ten games from now, it might be time to break out a big red panic button.

If this team keeps winning at a 0.75 clip I could care less what his FG% is. He can come to games in a bikini and high-hill as well, as far as I am concerned.

I don't think anyone would disagree on that. But remember our 0.75 clip is with the majority of the games at home. Our only two losses came on the road. I think it's imparative that the shooting is consistent when on the road because you need scores to keep the other team's fans out of the game. If we can keep a .55 on the road, I will be happy. If any higher, I will be ecstatic!

If he continues to shoot 35% I contend that winning 75% of their games won't hold up ... especially when he's getting 10+ FGAs. At some point teams are going to completely sag off of him and clog the paint which makes it very difficult for LMA and Wallace to operate. That will lead to a lot of stagnation and ultimately losses.

Theoretically, the Blazers would like him to solidify the position so they can finally get a semi-longterm solution at the point. Going into yet another off-season with uncertainty is not a recipe for success.

Felton has been an acceptable starting PG, but nothing above average. If we can make a run at Deron Williams in the offseason obviously that would be a dream scenario, but outside of that we could consider keeping Felton because at least he's not a bad PG.

If we do keep Felton I want him on no more then a 2 year contract, or something with team options. If he's fat and out of shape in a contract year I cringe to think of how Eddy Curry like he could be if he's on a long-term large salary deal.

I've had a similar thought. But I don't think he's a flat out thief like Curry; he seems to care about basketball and being well regarded and maybe being bounced around like a pinata`the past couple of years kind of took the air out of his sails and possibly hurt his preparation in the off-season ... but this is worrisome.

So, 12 games in and their three point % have dipped even further.

    *sigh*

We need someone who can routinely break down the defense. Crawford can do it, but he's more concerned with throwing up bricks or shooting crazy layups. Felton can do it....unreliably, and he's also great at shooting out of control layup prayers.

I don't know what people saw, or thought they saw, in Felton that indicated he'd be anything other than exactly what he's been... He's always been an out of shape, iffy shooter.

You can't be outplayed every single game and still be an above average starter... Felton is good at getting to the rim with a frenetic style and finishing very difficult shots, but that's about all the upside I see. Fourth quarter decision making is Uncle Cliffy bad.
