This guy helped the FB program

I think lots of people have forgotten about this guy, who essentially put Oregon State back on the map. Can you guess who?

 

I was at the UW game, which was kind of his coming out party. It was crazy...he was just flinging the ball making huge throw after huge throw. We lost (barely), but it was hilarious watching the Husky fans go from cocky to tails between their legs as the game was played.

...I have a pair of his game-worn turf shoes with the #9 on the heels! I worked with him at Corvallis Country Club for a little while, really great guy! J. Smith reminded me of Flutie in a way.

 

Its also weird that J.Smith never entered the NFL draft. I wonder why.
