Which rookies from last season are due for a big year next year? Which ones might struggle?I got one already that will be surging: Channing Frye
Surge: Charlie Villaneuva: The Bucks will insert him into there offense right away..He'll be good all year, and he'll average 17/7.5Raymond Felton: With Brevin Knight possibley on the block, and he's aging..Felton could very well be the starter for the Bobcats when opening day comes around..16/7 is my predictionMarvin Williams: He improved every month, and he was consistent..Look for him to get starters minutes next year as a 6th man. 14.5/7Andrew Bynum: He will finally be apart of this Laker rotation..He's looked very well in summer league games, dominating the post..With rebounds, electrifying blocks, and good post moves..Chris Paul: Of course you have to include the ROY..He'll be the leader, and playmaker for this young team, and theres a VERY hgih chance they could make there 1st playoff appearence with CP3 at PG..19/5/8 is my predicitonOthersanny GrangerGerald GreenSean MayMartell WebsterLouis Williams :winkglasses: Struggle: I think it might be Nate Robison, Channing Frye, and Joey Graham..

Nate and Channing had good years last season. I doubt that they will struggle. Joey Graham is aggressive going to the hoop, and his jumper is improving. How could you say he will slump? He will get alot more minutes next year too.But I guess because he plays for the Raptors, he will slump :thumbdn1: I dont respect anything you have to say anymore...
I think Raymond Felton will surge as well. And watch out for Sean May people! I'm still high on him. Also watch out for Danny Granger.Trying to think of a good slumper... hmm... I honestly can't think of one off the top of my head.

Like I care..I dont think Williams, Webster, Bynum will struggle next year either;..You dont see me whining..

Bynum has a long way to go dude...He wont make an impact next year at all. Webster also didnt show anything last year. And both of those guys still need work on their games..I agree though, I was probably wrong to put Marv on my list. He will still get around 12 ppg and 6 rpg...That isnt struggling..

He wont have a much better year. He will still struggle. He's only 19, and he doesnt know how to play in the NBA yet. Also, he still isnt very well conditioned..

He has talent, and ever since he made the jump he's lost a fair amount of weight, and put on some more muscle..
The Biggest Surgers will be Andrew Bynum, Raymond Felton, and Marvin Williams.-Bynum's minutes will increase if Chris Mihm leaves, and after that performance against Shaq a while back in the season, expect him to hold his own against the Camby's and the Brand's.-Raymond Felton will definately have increased numbers. A year older, he will start the year with the starters role over Brevin Knight. Adam Morrison is in Charlotte, and Emeka Okafor is healthy, so he has a good system around him.-Marvin Williams will surge this year, mostly because Al Harrington will be gone. He will take over the power forward role, and although out of position, he'll be fed the ball from Speedy a lot more. The Biggest Slumpers will be Martell Webster (Brandon Roy) and Rashad McCants (Injuries).Chris Paul won't surge this year. He will remain a stud though, probable All-Star. He won't get that much better from last year. Peja Stojakovic will take away from his shots, but he will get more assists, thanks to the added talent brought by Tyson Chandler and Peja.

He will still have a bad year next season. I almost guarentee it.

Man..You must expect a hell of alot out of a 19 year old 2nd year player..I just think he'll improve, and he'll be a factor towards the end of the season..I'm thinking 9-10 ppg, and 5-7 rpg..
9-10 ppg is way too much. And if you call that surging anyway..I think 3-5 ppg is the better guess. He only averaged 1 ppg last year, and still isnt ready to come out and have a good year..

Chris Paul will still get 16-17 ppg next year. If you have good teammates, it doesnt mean that the pg will get less shot opportunities..I can give examples, Allen Iverson, Steve Nash, Kirk Hinrich...
I'd like to know how Martell can slump from last year? He averaged 6.6 ppg. He could have another year of not getting a chance to play, but I doubt it. He's better than Travis Outlaw and should get back up minutes at the 2 and 3. If Darius Miles is moved, he just might start at the 3.
I guess I don't mean slump from last year. I guess he just won't get much more minutes, and his stats won't increase.

Star? No. But a good impact player? Definitely. Watch out, that's all I have to say. If any of you have even watched him in summer league, he looks very comfortable on the floor and he's hitting 3's now too. He's not just trying to get back into the swing of things, he's expanding his game also.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Road Blocker @ Jul 14 2006, 01:17 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>If Darius Miles is moved, he just might start at the 3.</div>Possibly, but you would think they would get something in return for Miles that is more NBA-ready to start than Webster. Either way, I think Webster is going to be a very good player in this league, but I'm not so sure about him starting already.

The only strong rumor so far has been Marco Jaric. But I'm with you on Sean May, I don't think he'll be a star, but I think he'll make a pretty good player.
