It will be interesting to see what the press will write about the Orlando game. I wonder if they are going to get interviews from players saying that their legs are tired or just out of sync. Come on players. All the NBA teams are playing back to back games this 66 shortened season. Look at OKC schedule with three sets of back to back with a record of 5-2 in that stretch.

    Mon, Jan 2 @ Dallas: Loss 100-87
Tue, Jan 3 vs Portland: Loss 103-93

Fri, Jan 6 vs Houston: Win 109-94
    Sat, Jan 7 @ Houston: Win 98-95
Sun, Jan 8 vs San Antonio Win 108-96

    Tue, Jan 10 @ Memphis: Win 100-95
Wed, Jan 11 @ New Orleans: Win 95-85

This road trip will be a test to see how well this team can hold up.

This one might be a little more legit since Orlando hadn't played since Sunday.

Still, OKC still pulled it out and has gotten wins with back to backs. Why can't Portland? Blazer training staff issues?

There are excuses for every loss, if it wasn't a back to back some would say the team had too long of a layoff before the start of the game which is why they were rusty out of the gate. If it was after a road trip we'd hear that the first home game back is almost like another road game. If we had a win the game before we'd hear this was a letdown game. If we had a loss the game before we'd hear the team is in a funk.

If you expected to go 66-0 thats not reality. Orlando's been relaxing in Portland since Sunday when we just played a hard fought game against a legit Clips team the night before. Whats Miami's excuse?

I think it's mildly hilarious that you say a back-to-back as the reason for the loss is a "cop out" Easy for you to say.

Man--could you imagine if we lost every game this year that was the 2nd half of a B2B? We'd lose 20 whole games! That's unfathomable!! :MARIS61:

So far the team and coach haven't given any excuses. They've talked about how they screwed themselves by getting off to a slow start, getting in a big hole, and how hard it is to climb back after that. They did play hard till the final whistle, but the slow start was a killer. Lessons Learned for sure.

What I've learned about our team this season was they take responsibility for their losses. They don't make any excuses.

Yeah ... so? my point was that it's easy for you to say it's a "cop out" because you're not actually the one out there playing dog ass tired.
