Dallas Mavericks point guard Jason Kidd will miss a fourth consecutive game Friday with a lower back injury, but coach Rick Carlisle said the hope is for Kidd to play in Saturday's home game as a tune-up before a big trip to Los Angeles to face the Lakers and Clippers. Kidd participated in the morning's shootaround and stayed late to take extra jump shots before Friday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Carlisle didn't get specific about Kidd's progress but said he looked better since the team left the White House on Monday.
