Ideas. He's announcing the game on TNT and he accidentally said the name Larry Miller. Made me think maybe he's been talking with him since he had the name on the brain.
Quick had a pure speculation comment back when Paul Allen addressed the media where he thought the team had someone they wanted to target but the person is under contract until the summer. I don't think Kerr has any contract besides announcing. He has a great basketball mind from what I can tell, so I'd be for the move. It seems like the main duties of being our GM is advising Paul Allen during games. He has to enjoy sitting with you and peppering you with questions.
As a GM I mean. I don't think he did anything good in Phoenix. Their struggles now have a lot to do with Kerr's inability to foresee the future. You and some others in this forum have expressed our need for a GM is a associated with a good vision of the future. Kerr, IMO, doesn't have this vision.
It makes perfect sense. An aged team that had failed to get over the hump and one that wasn't likely to get over the hump as they were then constructed. "Go big or go home." It didn't work out, but at least they went for it.
They added another year of contract that ended up needing traded/ bought out. Adding Shaq to a running team was a horrible idea. Dallas could have did the exact same thing, but instead made smart moves like trading for tyson Chandler and Marion. The Suns trading for Shaq was like any team trying to turn Andre Miller into a 3pt shooter.
Hell, just get him a parrot to sit on his shoulder and squack "Bert's cold! Bert's cold!" (he never gets tired of that joke)
Some suggest the GM they have their eye on is currently under contract and are waiting for that to expire this summer. That kind of information (GM expiring contracts) is hard to come by. Any ideas?
Don't know of anywhere that has their contracts listed. I think you'd have to go individually and see when they got theirlast extension through news reports, most likely.
