Those 2 are definitely my top 2 so far as well. How about Allan Bristow? I mean he already brought in Chandler, Peja, and B-Jax as well as draft Armstrong and Simmons. I really love what he has done with the Hornets so far.
John Paxson is a guarantee, unless Chicago does poorly.I like the Hornets GM in this too. Bristow really rounded out the team this year. They are a probable playoff team.
They really weren't that far from the playoffs last year. They were right there in the race for 8th the whole way through, then the last 2-3 weeks they had nothing left in the tank and they fell in the standings. But, if you add Peja, Chandler, Armstrong, Jackson, and Simmons to that - plus a sophomore Chril Paul and an even better David West... oh, and athletic freak in Mason - you have something. I think that franchise is in great shape for now and the future.

I swear realgm has the worst writers. Here is an article about how the trading of Synder may have taken them out of playoff contention ...http://hornets.realgm.com/articles/17/2006...ung_themselves/

He's been doing so much for the Hornets this off season. They've probably had the second best off season so far. With all the players he got and another year on Chris Paul and David West this team can definetly be in the playoff race next season. For the East as long as the Bulls have a better season then last season and make it decently far in the playoffs Paxon is pretty much a lock.
Probably Colangelo or Paxson. Both have done a great job in improving their teams.I cant believe none of you are mentioning Colangelo. Here are some notable movesrafting BargnaniRe-signing Joey GrahamGetting RashoGetting TJ FordGetting John SalmonsGetting Anthony ParkerGetting Jorge GarbajosaDrafting PJ TuckerRe-signing BoshHe has done a ton, and didnt even spend that much money..Anyone that doesnt consider him a candidate is just plain ignorant.

This is how the bashing starts. You freak out and annoy people by calling everyone ignorant because they don't mention the Raptors. I suggest you edit your post to avoid it. Just state your opinion.

He is getting better but he will NEVER be a good basketball player. He is going to be no better than a role player. Another thing that he has done is trade charlie villanueva who was one of the best rookies and trade him for a PG. Not a bad move at all but he replaced a good player for another good player. It evened out.Barganani was good but do u expect a GM not to get a good player at the #1 pick in the draft.....that took nothing by colangelo. The rest of them are garbage IMO. John Salmons is a combo guard who isnt great at either position. He cant play defense and he is inconsistent. And as for Rasho, he is garbage. He didnt play in SA this year for a reason. PJ Tucker isnt fit for the NBA even though he is one of my fav college players. A 6 foot 5 PF doesnt seem to appealing to me when Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett is guarding him. He cant shoot from the outside and he gets most of his points off of 2nd chance points which he wont be able to do nearly as much once he plays in his first NBA game. And as for the other 2....they are garbage...

He is great at attacking the hoop, and he is going to turn out into a good defender, and a decent shooter too. You've probably never seen him play, so dont even talk. How can you say that he will "never turn out to be a good player" when he has only played 1 year in the League? Thats just plain ignorant. That's the thing. Charlie's main position was Power Forward, and Bosh had already reserved that spot. Charlie didnt fit in at SF because he was too slow to defend perimeter players, and he got killed on defense when he played Center. TJ is going to be one of the top pg's in the League. He is a great passer, playmaker, set up man, and he is lightning quick, and can get by mostly anyone. Rasho is a Center that can play good defense for us downlow, and plug the hole that has been wide open for several years at Center. Some of you probably think he sucks, but trust me. Anything is better than having to start Loren Woods at Center. Also, Rasho will score us a fair bit of inside points. Not get a good player? WTF. You have never seen Bargnani play in the NBA, so how do you know that he is not a good player? He is like Dirk, except he can go both ways. He is a great shooter, he can back up and sink his turn around jumper, he is quick too. The only things he needs to work on is his ball handling skills, defense, not fouling people, and develop a post game. But Dirk only scored 8 ppg in his rookie year too. Bargnani has a ways to go, but most euro players do too. He is going to be a good investment by the Raptors. And who else did you expect us to draft? Another Power Forward, another SF? We dont need those players. We already are filled with young guys at those positions. That's funny. The rest of them are garbage? Im not even going to take you seriously anymore. John Salmons can help us out on defense, and he is a good scorer off the bench. Sometimes he hogs the ball, but we can simply bench him if he tries to do that. He will learn, and he wont hog the ball. I forgot to mention Kris Humphries. He is a Power Forward with range, who is looking good in summer league. Anthony Parker was probably the best player in Euro-basketball, but then of course. I should listen to you, because you called him garbage. Just take a look at his Euro stats and tell me if he is still garbage. 15 ppg, 7 rpg, 1.6 spg, 3.7 apg, 55.9 fg%, 36 3pt%, 35 mpg. Is that garbage to you? Oh yeah, he is second in Europe in efficiency rating too. From those stats, even you can probably see that he can do everything. He is going to be a good guard for us.Garbajosa is another European player that we got. I dont know much about him, but he can do a good job 3rd string at PF, and playing some time at Center. He is 5th best in Europe in efficiency rating. And another thing is our new depth that we have. Just take a look at our new depth chartg-TJ FordJose CalderonJohn Salmons (if needed)sg-Mo PetersonJohn SalmonsAnthony Parkersf-Joey GrahamPJ TuckerBargnaniAnthony Parkerpf-Chris BoshKris HumphriesAndrea Bargnanijorge Garbajosac-Rasho NesterovicAndrea BargnaniPape SowJorge GarbajosaTell me that's not good depth. Another thing is that Colangelo improved our team with not spending a sh*t load of money like the Hornet's GM did. He realizes that the FA crop will be alot better next year, so he is still saving money. He improved our team alot, and if you don't see that, you're just ignorant.Edit: PJ plays SF buddy. Why doesnt he seem appealing to you? You wouldnt like a Small Forward who plays hard, gets inside points, and rebounds? Come on..You've got to love that from a player..
First of all you freaking moron, i never said that Bargnani was a bad basketball player. I said that how could you not get a good basketball player at the #1 pick in the draft. Considering that there was no for sure #1 pick in this draft, any team could have picked 1st overall and any team could have picked a different #1 overall player.2nd of all, i saw joey graham play tons of games at Oklahoma State and he was one of my favorite players. But he is not going to be a guy that is going to average 18 and 9 is he? I dont think so. He is going to be more of a 15 and 6 kind of guy. Which is pretty good but thats not great. I think you misunderstood me when i said good basketball player. Also, i never said that trading Charlie Villanueva was a bad thing for the raps so you need to shut ur mouth. I said that they traded a guy that has a very bright future and who proved himself to be one of the better rookies. I dont know many gm's who would have given up Charlie V after that kind of rookie season. But considering the circumstances of Mike James leaving, it wasnt that bad of a move by the raptors. As for Anthony Parker, he played 35 minutes a game in euro ball and averaged 15 points and 7 boards. Those are some pretty decent stats, but if ALOT of young guys got that many minutes in the euro leagues, they would be averaging those numbers. He is not going to get 35 minutes in Toronto considering Mo Pete is in front of him. O and i am suppossed to trust YOU on Rasho Nesterovich conisdering i saw him play in over 60 games this season. Did you watch him play that much. I also have seen him play ever since he was in San Antonio for the past couple of seasons and he sucked then too. Why do you think the Spurs traded for Nazr back then...becuase they knew that he sucked which he does. I dont care if you dont take me seriously because nobody takes you seriously. Why do you think you are only a V.I.P when you have over 5,000 posts... Your a 13 year old BOY, who is a homer for one of the worst 5 teams in the league last year. And if you say that people are ignorant one more time....
CB4, we aren't ignorant. The Chicago Bulls just had a better off season than your north of the border Raptors. Signing Ben Wallace, getting Tyrus Thomas, Viktor Krhympia, Thabo Sefolosha, PJ Brown, and JR Smith. They turned them from a 5-6 seed to a Championship contender.
Give the award to Jim Paxson already, the man is a genious. If he took over right when MJ left I wouldn't be surprised if Chicago would have another ring by now.
I heared some were that the Hornets were looking into AI not sure why, but that's what I heared. It's probably bs though to bad I don't remember were I heared that. I can understand them making this trade if they were sure they will get AI. But I really don't think they can get AI what would the offer? But anyway Paxon has done a great job. Chicago is a contender now.
