Boston's 4-5? Wow. I don't think JLIII is enough to beat them. Would Rip? Lot's of uncertainty, but I'll say the Bulls win this one, by a hair. Go Bulls!
Boozer played the whole Q1. 4-5 shooting, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, +13. Bulls held Boston to 13 Q1 points with him out there guarding Garnett.
Boston is making a run against the Bulls right now. Observations: 1) Rose and Boozer are running pick and roll and pick and pop plays. Rose passes to Boozer, he scores. But much of the time, Rose either doesn't see him, or doesn't get how to make the pass to him when he's WIDE open. 2) Boozer and Deng are having a good game at the same time. Deng is having a REALLY good game. 3) Noah actually looks good tonight. He's having trouble making shots near the basket, but he's active and getting offensive boards. 4) Asik sat out the first 10 minutes of Q3 after playing all of Q4 with the 2nd unit.
Celtics just cut the Bulls lead from 20 to 1, with 10:00 left in Q4. The Bulls offense has been isolation plays, zero or one pass with either Rose or Deng taking the shot. And the Bulls shots are not dropping. Boozer's back in. First Q4 action for him in a while... But they need some offense.
This is the first time I can remember in a long time when Deng, Boozer, and Noah all had good games at the same time. Noah's making those noticeable hustle plays that've been lacking all season, and Boozer's actually been good on defense. He's outplayed Garnett.
It's good to be able to win games in different ways, I guess. Noah really has to work freakishly hard to be effective. The Cs look so bad. It hurts to watch Paul Pierce move.
I haven't seen SportsCenter yet. Did that spinning like a wild top glass shot by Rose make play of the day?
Don't watch much SC, but if it wasn't the play of the day, the winner had to be pretty crazy. The Bulls defense really makes opponents look bad...the Celtics are just the latest victim. Damn, the Bulls are good.
