    Apparently the UFC knew AJ wasn't making weight.

    Ludicrous to be off by 11-lbs. considering he moved up a weight class!

    Anthony Johnson was cut from the UFC following his loss to Vitor Belfort. It was the third time he's missed weight and according to DFW "three strikes and you're out." Not a big surprise.

    Few thoughts...

    Didn't like the fact that Yamasaki disqualified Erick Silva. Surprised to see Yamasaki give an interview directly after the fight. Silva will appeal the loss and the UFC is open to hearing about it since I don't think there is an overseeing athletic commission in Rio. Silva looked great again and might be the next big thing at welterweight behind Rory MacDonald.

    Barboza's knockout was spectacular. Will be in the running for KO of the year.

    Palhares is a mean son of a bitch. He has middleweights scared right now.

    Anthony Johnson was scrambling and looked out of his depth.

    Aldo's knockout was awesome as was his run into the crowd. That series of events last night could make him a much bigger star in MMA.

    A hat thief was thwarted last night during Ricardo Funch's walkout. Somebody grabbed his acai berry cap but security jumped into the stands and took it back, actually putting it back on Funch's head before reached the Octagon. Pretty good.

    They weighed both fighters three hours prior to their bout, with Vitor Belfort coming-in at 205 and Anthony Johnson at 211.

    So Johnson's plan was to get down to 186 (he got to 187.5 before the UFC doctor forced him to start re-hydrating out of fear for his well being) and then gain back 25-lbs. before the fight. Wowza.

    That was a big mistake by Maz.

    That spinning kick KO is the KO of the year. I find it hard to believe that someone is going to top that.

    Rumble was cut by the UFC. I wonder if he goes to Strikeforce or Bellator and puts a few wins together and makes weight, if the UFC will take him back. I think he needs to make a permanent move to 205.

    Aldo proved that he hasn't lost anything. What a fucking knee. That was incredible. The fence grab was a little bush league, but the KO was inevitable, IMO.

    aldo must have thought of that celebration before. rumble should be fighting at 185 in my opinion. walking around at 195-200 pds should not be an issue for him at his frame. he looked gassed
