    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Brian Grant retired on Wednesday.
The $1.8 million remaining on his contract will be paid by Boston as a result of the Suns sending Rajon Rondo to the Celtics on Wednesday night. The Suns will also get a first-round pick next year in the deal, which Boston obtained from Cleveland.</div>
He retired and we are paying the remaining $1.8M. Great, he doesn't take up a roster space.

He wasnt that bad of a player during his career, was pretty solid with the Heat. Always reminded me of Etan Thomas 'cause of those dreadlocks.

his better days were when he played in portland and I think he played with the kings but I'm not sure anyway congratulations to him on retiring but I wish the Lakers weren't still paying him. He's the second largest contract on the Lakers and he is retired...sort of like the knicks with allan houston but their cap space is alot worse...

Yeah he played for the Kings, Heat, Suns, and Lakers. He was a double-double guy like 4-5 years ago. He was excellent when he was in his good days. He did all the dirty work, played defense, rebounded, brought toughness, and a true professional. I have nothing but respect for Brian Grant.
