Offensive rebounds allowed lead to easy scores; good defensive rebounders prevent that, thereby improving their Drtg.

That's the best support I could come up with for that incredibly lame argument.

Should be noted that despite being at 108 & 109 the past two years, Love was tied for the second-best Drtg on his team each year. It's tough to have a good Drtg when your whole team is terrible defensively.

Even crazier, there are only 8 players averaging 20pts/5rebs or better:

To say that LMA, who also gives you a steal and two assists, isn't All Star material this year, when 6 of the other 7 are complete locks for the ASG... that dude's a knucklehead.

I really don't understand the Kevin love bashing. His defense is much improved over last year.

Small sample size? 13 games isn't easily called a fluke, but many realists didn't call LMA legit after 13 "LaMonster-era" games last year.

Love is probably the real deal, though. Dude's working hard out there, but he lacks the support around him to translate that effort into wins.

Having the opinion that Kevin Love is mediocre, at best, defensively is now "bashing" him.

I just want to see him perform for more than 13 games before I say he's now a decent defender. LMA has abused him in the past. That should be a good barometer.

Unlike most everyone on the board when it comes to me and Nate, I didn't single anyone out. Never said I was referring to you. If you read posts regarding Love, some bash him

Fair point; also, the very exclusive list of players averaging 25/10 is a list of one: Kevin Love.

It's a shame his work isn't turning into wins. How inept must the rest of the team be for a 26+ PER player getting huge minutes to not lift his team to more than 5 wins in 13 games?

Love is a very good player. The irony is that Love was seen as a skilled passer coming out of UCLA. Of course, it could be argued that there is nobody else on that roster worth him passing the ball. If Minnesota gets a true #1 player, they could be filthy with Love as his sidekick.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Love bolt for greener pastures. I'm enamored with his game, but he doesnt strike me as a guy thats loyal to Minnesota. Rubio might have changed that slightly though.

I'm sure if a better team had an opportunity to give him max; he would take it in a heartbeat.

Yes, but we couldn't. At least not when he becomes a "unrestricted free agent".
