I'm not sure if these moves will make us the conference champs, but we should be pretty damn good.MOVE #1Trade Theo Ratliff, Gerald Green, and Sebastian Telfair for Allen Iverson. Why for Boston?-blah, blah, blah, we've all heard it before. title contender. Why for Philly?-blah, blah, blah, AI is being shopped._______________________________________________________________MOVE #2Trade Wally Szczerbiak and Al Jefferson for Shawn Marion. Why for Boston?-Marion is a great fit. All-around superb athlete and great defender and rebounder. Why for Phoenix?-More depth and a player with excellent potential.__________________________________________________________________MOVE #3.Sign Francisco Elson.____________________________________________________________________Line-up:Delonte West/Rajon RondoAllen Iverson/Tony Allen/Allan RayPaul Pierce/Brian ScalabrineShawn Marion/Ryan Gomes/Leon PoweKendrick Perkins/Francisco Elson/Dwayne JonesConclusion:This team has alot of versatility, and alot of tools to get the job done. We won't have to worry about scoring ever again, with Allen Iverson, Paul Pierce, and Shawn Marion all being able to score 20 ppg, not to mention West and Gomes capable of 15 and green and TA able to add 10 each. We have plenty of players that are still willing to do the dirty work (Rondo, Allen, Scabs, Gomes, Perk). We can even put in an EXCELLENT defensive squad of Rondo, TA, Pierce, Marion, and Perk. Elson can fill a void as a back-up. He can run the floor well and rebound decently. This team has enough talent and depth to go deep into the playoffs.

what is so funny about that? If you're going to say that it's completely unrealistic, than i can argue with you on that.

You guys think you can pay all three of those superstars: Pierce, Iverson, AND Marion? Yeah, right. You're also totally screwed at C. Elson would be better starting over Perk right now, imo.

Next year, perk will be good for 7-9 rpg and 2-3 blocks.and how many team aren't "screwed" at C? very few, and they seem to manage.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DRob-50-Forever @ Jul 15 2006, 12:44 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>You had Green traded and in the depth chart.</div>fixed.

Pheonix would never do that trade. Marion is a very valuable player. He is in the top 5 in rebounds, blocks and steals, and he gets 20-22 ppg and plays stellar defense. He does everything, and they would not give him up for Wally and Al Jefferson.Jefferson is a post up player, and wouldnt fit in well really well with the Suns fast-break offense. Wally is basically a scorer, he really does nothing right. I think Marion is close to a top 10 or 15 player in the NBA. The suns would have to be brain-dead to do that trade.

whoa, whoa, whoa, Wally does nothing right? what in the hell are you talking about? The guy does nearly everything right! He's good shooter, he's a smart player, e rebounds, plays underrated defense, he has all the intangibles. Saying he does nothing right is absolutely absurd.i'm not sure if the salaries work on the Marion deal, so add Scabs and likely a pick.

Shawn Marion is a ton better then Wally. Wally can shoot and score, but he is not great at anything else. He isnt a very talented player either. Shawn is one of the best players in the League. You cant just throw in Wally and Al Jefferson and expect to get him..Like I said before, Al woudlnt even fit in with the Suns..

how can you continue to say that Wally does nothing right? That's just BS, stop talking about this kind of stuff. You have no clue of what Wally brings to the tabel, he was much more than just a shooter. You just look at the boxscore and make your assumptions, and i'm sick and tired of it. He was the guy who made the extra pass, who was always encouraging his teammates, always had his head on straight, always hustled. you know nothing about him, so just stop.

..I'm sorry but Wally doesnt have great skills besides his shooting and scoring. When you combine all stats for PF's in the League, Shawn has the highest total. He is a top 15 player in this league. He can do everything, and I dont care how good you think Wally is, they wouldnt be trading Marion for Wally and Al Jeff.

when will you learn it's not all about the stats. I'm not even talking about the trade anymore. yeah, Wally doesn't have alot of "skills" in other areas, but you have NOOOOOO clue what you're talking about when you say he does nothing right. I can go through the list of things he does again if you'd like, but you'd probably just ignore it again, and still say "Wally's not good at other things". ugh. [IMG]

Wally is slow on defense so he cant really play the 2. And why would Phoenix do that trade anyways? Raja Bell is working perfectly with them. Diaw is becoming a better player than Wally so Wally would be stuck to the bench for depth. Jefferson wouldnt start either. If you'd want Marion, you have to add a 1st rder and somebody like Allen or Gomes.

NBA Dogmatist, why would Phoenix be shopping their star power forward anyway? And if they got Wally they would have 4 SF's. (Boris Diaw, James Jones, Eric Piatkowski and Wally). I think they would want time for Boris and James Jones, what do you think? Also, they would be weak at PF, and they wouldnt score nearly as many inside points.. The trade just doesnt make any sense at all...Edit: Good, Im glad you gave up..
