Here is how you do this. Act as if you are the General Manager of the Pistons. Put some trade scenarios and free agent signings you think would help the team. Be realistic folks. If I think of some good ones I will post.
I was thinking of some way that Chris Wilcox could become a Piston, but Detroit has nothing to give. So, I was thinking of other ways to become younger, and this came to mind:SF Joey Graham for PG Will Blalock, G/F Carlos Delfino.I like how Joey Graham plays. He's a swingman that is needed on the bench with Flip Murray. Toronto is weak at the point guard position, and maybe Colangelo likes what he sees in Delfino (Manu?). Joey, McDyess, Amir Johnson, Hunter, Acker, Maxiel and Flip Murray would make a great bench.
Toronto would never do that trade...Delfino is unproven and Blalock was one of the last picks in the draft, just a dumb trade...and you don't have enough money to sign and trade for Wilcox.
Here is one. Detroit Trades:SG: Carlos Delfino2007 Second Round Draft ChoiceDenver sign and trades:C: Francisco ElsonDelfino is a young prospect that can hit the jumper and could start for the Nuggets. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and likes to do all of the little things, perfect for Nuggets head coach George Karl. The Pistons need a reliable center off of the bench, and Dale Davis is just too old to be that anymore. While Elson is not young himself, he had a great season last year and shined in the minutes that he did play. He can score, rebound, and occasionally block a shot or two. He and Nazr splitting the playing time at center could get the job done for the Pistons, and Dale is always there for a 3rd option.I like it!

Obviously Colangelo likes what he sees in Bargniani, and he might like another foreign player in Delfino, who has shown signs of Manu. Will Blalock was the last pick, but is still a pretty decent player, and can be the third point guard on a depth chart easily, after Ford and Caledron. Maybe add a second rounder.Yes, I know we can't get Wilcox, BCB, that's why I said we can't get him.Thats a pretty good deal, but I'm guessing San Antonio will sign him to an offer sheet, Denver will get him back, and he will stay in the rotation. Hopefully, we can get him, but it's unlikely.
I hear Delfino maybe involved in a sign-and-trade package.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Pistons bring back DupreeTuesday, July 18, 2006By A. Sherrod BlakelyAUBURN HILLS -- When Rasheed Wallace or one of his Detroit Pistons teammates cracked jokes during training camp last year, chances were pretty good that, at some point, they would be directed at Ronald Dupree. The 6-foot-7 forward was well-liked by his teammates in Detroit.Apparently, the Pistons front office also feels pretty good about him because Dupree is back in Detroit, with a two-year contract that includes a player option after next season."He's excited about coming back to Detroit," said agent Mark Bartelstein, who also represents Pistons guard Lindsey Hunter. "He enjoyed his time there, and is looking forward to getting back together with the guys up there."With Carlos Delfino and Maurice Evans (recently traded to the Los Angeles Lakers) slotted to play most of the backup minutes at small forward last season, Dupree was traded to Minnesota for a second-round draft pick just before the season. With the Timberwolves, Dupree averaged 2.2 points per game in 36 games, both career lows. He played in 47 games for the Pistons during the 2004-2005 season and 47 games with Chicago as a rookie in 2003-2004.While Dupree, 26, might be Detroit's last free-agent signing, the Pistons might not be done making deals. There's speculation that Dupree may give the Pistons another athletic player off the bench in case they deal Delfino in a sign-and-trade package. Atlanta's Al Harrington, one of the top free agents still available, is a player the Pistons might pursue.A. Sherrod Blakely can be reached at sherrodb@aol.com or mlive.com/forums/pistons.</div>
