I'm weary of these Big uglies who seem to have this "spotlight" mentality, and seem to flip flop alot. May not be a fair comparison at all but it kinda reminds me of the recruitment of Seantrel Henderson.

They're 17 and 18 year old kids who are making a huge decision.

Ngata gave verbal to Nebraska, swayed to BYU and settled in Eugene.

    Big decision for these kids.

I totally get that. And I'm normally a pretty big defender of that. In my following recruiting experience it seems less when its lineman. As I said maybe im in the wrong. .. But I'm a little concerned when its a lineman who seeks the spotlight. And Seantrel was an example I thought of.

If he wants to play with his brother, Arik can't go to a pac-12 school

Something of note, UCLA now has 28 commits with only 18 or 20 schollies to offer. Unless they do major roster cuts, they are going to have to tell some of these PSA's there's not enough room.

Mora's fairly well-known as being a guy with an oversized ego who treats people like shit. I don't think he'll have any problem trimming the fat from UCLA.

Remember the saga of California 5* DT Aziz Shittu? He had Oregon in his favorites mix early on and then apparently got bent out of shape when the Ducks didn't offer him at the start of his visit to Eugene. He committed to Stanford just a few days later only to decommit within the month but has been badmouthing Oregon via the twitterverse ever since.

Well here's his latest tweet from an hour ago

ugh he tweets like a mofo I'll never get back as far as around his visit lol.

Also he sure seems big on personal rankings and stuff and how he is viewed. Wonder if that type of attitude is what factored into him not being offered. (Yes I realize that translation can get lost in 140 characters or less)

There is some major news going to be coming I guess in the next few weeks.

Division1a is a poster on DT and a major contributor to the site. He has connections with tons of D1 athletes in the state of Cali and is good friends with Arik Armsteads family.

He just wrote this today regarding Armstead, "I can't say too much....but what I will say is that Oregon is definately a MAJOR player here."

    And this.

"Arik's family, so its important that I respect the family's wishes. Just know, Oregon has not been eliminated and is a major player."

Then Justin posted this afterwards, "There may be icing on top of the cake to the Armstead news.. I'm working on the backend details here. Could be something big coming by NSD guys. Stay on the ride."

Oregon does finish strong, did last year. Two guys I didn't think we had a chance at, now suddenly here we are maybe in the thick of things for them.

Aziz, Armstead, Poutasi and Johnson. Make it happen Ducks.

Seems like they're doubling down on the strategy of rotating active long tall 280-300 pound guys. The DT rotation loses no one + adds Ebert. The DE rotation loses Turner & Hanna but adds Kamp & Koa Ka'ai. Barring injury I foresee a whole lot of redshirting going on... the cupboards are full.
