Because dinosaurs aren’t mentioned directly in the Bible doesn’t mean they exploded into existence from a random, source-less singularity and then magically self-replicated from blind, dead, brainless matter. Along with everything else. The Bible doesn’t mention dinosaurs because the word “dinosaur” wasn’t even around when the Bible was written. If you read the ending of the book of Job however, you will see God’s description of creatures that sound surprisingly like dinosaurs to me. And even if the Bible were silent on dinosaurs, so what? It doesn’t mean that God didn’t have a hand on creating them. The Bible is silent on a lot of things because it focuses on what we need to know, not want to know. If it focused on what we wanted to know then the whole world couldn’t contain the Bibles. The Bible is not a scientific textbook and has never claimed to be.

funny, but ice core samples have been drilled that scientists can measure going back almost a million years.

why not if the interior of the bone is preserved well enough? do you think it's impossible for insects to be preserved in amber without fossilizing?

I think DNA deteriorates over time so under the best of conditions, 1M years is as old as we can find.

this being apparently such a touchy subject to some, i think scientists should take greater care in exclaiming "ive found gazillion year old dna!" when it often comes back as false positive or contaminated

Did I say 1M years old? I meant 5,999 years old.

You should have said a billion instead, it makes you sound smarter and more "scientific".

also regarding the noah thing, how many species are on earth like 9 million right? so since there is no evolution, that means they all were on the boat? for really realz?

It didn't say two of every animal species, it said two of every kind. I happen to believe in adaption and subtle changes to different environments, aka "micro evolution". That explains different dog breeds and many other examples in species. It's still a dog, just a different kind of dog. On the other hand, macro-evolution (where one species turns into an entirely new one) has never been observed or verified in any way.

Of course not. We haven't been intelligently observing species for a long enough time. It would take thousands of years to validate via observance. However, we have found transitional fossils.

Yes we've found many fossils of dead animals, in which many have claimed to be "transitional fossils" for those eager to verify their theory. But many of those have been proven even fraudulent or mistaken. Take the tiktaalik for example, once boasted as being the perfect discovery for how sea animals evolved to walk on land, has since been debunked. And basically every missing link between animal species is still missing.

right...except all breed of dog fall under one species. and the reason there are different breeds is HUMAN BREEDING METHODS, if they all just banged whomever they would all be mutts...right?

oh and i was talking about ALL species, not just animal, my bad, so that narrows it down to about 1.25 million. different. animal. species.

A woman appearing from the rib of a man has never been observed or verified in any way either, but apparently only one of these is acceptable to believe without any observation or verification. Even though nothing similar happens like that elsewhere, whereas you believe in micro evolution, so macro doesn't seem like it'd take that much of a leap of faith to also believe.

What microevolution do you believe has occurred in the human race? Different races? Different sexual orientation?

    Hello new to site :)

Some Bible verses on Dinosaurs on those interested, Please remember Dinosaur was not a word until bout 1841 AD:

-Behemoth has the following attributes according to Job 40:15-24

It “eats grass like an ox.”
It “moves his tail like a cedar.” (In Hebrew, this literally reads, “he lets hang his tail like a cedar.”)
Its “bones are like beams of bronze,
His ribs like bars of iron.”
“He is the first of the ways of God.” -(This phrase in the original Hebrew implied that behemoth was the biggest animal created)
“He lies under the lotus trees.

-Leviathan has the following attributes according to Job chapter 41, Psalm 104:25,26 and Isaiah 27:1. This is only a partial listing..

“No one is so fierce that he would dare stir him up.”
“Who can open the doors of his face, with his terrible teeth all around?”
“His rows of scales are his pride, shut up tightly as with a seal; one is so near another that no air can come between them; they are joined one to another, they stick together and cannot be parted.”
“His sneezings flash forth light, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning. Out of his mouth go burning lights; sparks of fire shoot out. Smoke goes out of his nostrils, as from a boiling pot and burning rushes. His breath kindles coals, and a flame goes out of his mouth.”
“Though the sword reaches him, it cannot avail; nor does spear, dart, or javelin. He regards iron as straw, and bronze as rotten wood. The arrow cannot make him flee; slingstones become like stubble to him. Darts are regarded as straw; he laughs at the threat of javelins.”
“On earth there is nothing like him, which is made without fear.”
Leviathan “played” in the “great and wide sea” (a paraphrase of Psalm 104 verses 25 and 26—get the exact sense by reading them yourself).
Leviathan is a “reptile [a] that is in the sea.” (Isaiah 27:1)

[a] Note: The word translated “reptile” here is the Hebrew word tanniyn. This shows that “Leviathan” was also a “tanniyn” (dragon).
In a covert of reeds and marsh.”

Possibly, but there's no way to know for sure. There is no evidence that we "evolved" from an ape-like creature though. I'll ask God when I get to heaven.
