To be married to the same woman for 600+ years has got to suck...

But you know the mathematical improbability; with the laws of physics or at least some physics that it happened in 17 billion years. We are talking 10 to the power of 600 here. Than add the mathematical improbability that the different variances of life was able to evolve; with significant changes in species; what is it like 30 stages, in about 100,000,000 years. We are talking about unfathomable numbers here. 100,000,000 years isn't a long time when you are talking about genetic mutations; especially with modern science seeing that most natural genetic mutations are more harmful than good.

Now wait a second here. Death comes because of genetic mutations; or at least this is what is claimed as a strong argument. What would happen if the DNA, either it be from the food we eat or the climate prolonged this mutation? Would 700 years be possible?

the fruit is in the tree, and i cant reach it, so im going to mate with a tall person

    we will have tall babies

our babies will be able to reach the fruit all by themselves

if we lived in a maximum allowable oxygen environment, and ate nothing but blueberries, exfoliating daily, with ritual green tea enemas and cardio workouts...no

or else you could just do that now, no?

Is it? So a dog can mate with a cat because the dog want's retractible claws and dexterity. Is this possible?

What I do know is there are records of people living over 120 years in parts of asia. Some have even lived 140, but hasn't been accepted yet. Like I said on the other thread; I do agree with Craig on the age of the Earth being a metaphor for the simple people back then; but living longer because of climate, environment and food can prolong it.

well, i think we both know a dog will mate with pretty much anything...

think about it, if we kept mating the tallest people together over and over and over until we had a race of 10 foot tall giants, and then in a million years some cockroach scientist digs us up, he is going to say "ive found a new species! humanus giganticus!"

    Iron clad theory?
How do you prove something DOESN'T exist? Can you prove unicorns don't exist? Is there a scientific way to prove they don't exist? Should science spend time finding out? Can you PROVE Santa Claus doesn't exist? Should science go to lengths to prove it?

It's funny that you mention unicorns because science felt the need to prove it wrong. And they can't even hold that same respect for the existence of God.

Can't happen because we would still have the DNA chain too similar to our short relatives. ;) You do know that Hitler believed that if we didn't "mix breed" and killed the "weaker species" that he can speed up the evolutionary process. And just because over 100,000 years of the present man, mating with taller people, makes us evolve, really only explains micro-evolution.

Now if you give me an instance like "Because of the scarcity of land, through over population; man grew gills and a digestive system for consuming aquatic life". You find me a fossils (hundreds of examples) that explains this and I will be open minded on evolution.

don't we have a dna chain similar to our ape relatives?

Yes, because we have the same Creator. We share 50% of the same DNA with bananas too, did we evolve from them?

Being a taller human doesn't classify us as being a different species. I don't agree with it one bit. There are taller humans right now. We cheer them on everyday. Is Bol's DNA classify him as a different species?

    Actually, not.

    Dog breeds are primarily man-made:

Dogs have been selectively bred for thousands of years, sometimes by inbreeding dogs from the same ancestral lines, sometimes by mixing dogs from very different lines. The process continues today, resulting in a wide variety of breeds, hybrids and types of dog. Dogs are the only animal with such a wide variation in appearance without speciation, "from the Chihuahua to the Great Dane".
