well, they needed more than just Andre Miller hitting a 28 foot shot. they needed more rebounds out of LaMarcus, better defense, guards who don't shoot like they have had their eyes poked out with a fork and a better coach.
Why did we get rid of Andre Miller? Because we need to get rid of the old guys. That's why this board wants Wallace and Camby replaced. Every old guy will suck the next season after we have him, so we have to hurry. Why must the team exterminate the old guys? Because it is our purpose in life to make McMillan look good. He only looks good when he has Pritchard's 3rd-youngest team in history. When McMillan's system produces a medium level team, we praise McMillan for putting up with so much youth. But he gets no praise for getting the same results from the experienced players we currently have. That's is why we got rid of Miller, and why we hear the drumbeat for the heads of Wallace and Camby. Portland's economic system is an engine to create jobs for crappy coaches, and will fall without Nate McMillan.
And he had 12 assists. Watching that game, what I was thinking is, here is a guy who doesn't need plays called for him, he must have really been frustrated in Portland. He also played 49 minutes; and something else interesting from that game; in a double overtime, Rudy Fernandez had a DNP, coach's decision.
Now that I look at the box score, I must admit that Miller's game was unimpressive, per minute. The stars of the game (per minute) were Gallinari and Mozgov.
