In a dunk contest, who do you see coming out on top. I'm not talking about Vince in his prime, I'm talking about if you were to pull Dez out of New Orleans and Vince out of New Jersey and tell them to go head to head in a dunkoff, who would win?I'm picking Desmond, he's a very underrated dunker, he can dunk off two from 13 feet out with his left hand for christ's sake. He has more variety because he can jump off of one better than Vince, and he can use both hands equally.
^ Vince Carter has pulled off some nasty dunks but I cannot honestly call him the greatest dunker ever. He is good if you want to dunk on someone.I take Mason. His leaping ability is mind boggling. In the open court I always look for him to put something nasty down, and he usually does.
Vince Carter easily. You dont really see Desmond Mason making nice dunks on SportsCenter in the mornings anymore. Vince Carter dominated the 2000 dunk contest. He hauled ass. I think he could go at it again, and beat mostly anyone too. I think that that was the best dunk contest ever. He did so many inbelievable things..
Definatly Desmond Mason right now. He does stuff in the air that Vince Carter can't do. The most underrated thing about the dunk contest is body control in the air and Mason/Richardson are masters of it. Vince Carter gets all the hype and whatnot but look at Desmond's battles with Richardson for those 2 years, amazing....Their are dunks Mason did in game in Milwaukee that are out of this world amazing and they didn't make sportscenter...his reverse alley oops are legendary.

VC here (even now he does some incredible stuff).
I gotta go w/ VC. He still can throw down some incredible stuff and he does it in games which is even better. That's whats so great about this guy. You see highlights on SportsCenter of him throwing down some incredible stuff in games. You don't see that w/ Mason as much. Plus he's got the 50 inch vert. jump.
I saw Mason throw down a reverse alley-oop, what's impressive was Cassell threw it from almost half court...next day it WAS NOT on the highlights....Hard to get noticed when you play in Milwaukee and Oklahoma City. RIGHT now...forget what he did in 2000...Mason wins it now.
VC still. That dunk over Zo, that sick reverse alley oop vs the Magic, reverse 360's, windmills, he is still better than mason.

But Desmond Mason doesnt get enough playing time to have as many oppotunities as VC does. Id take Desmond..

Vince pulled off the NASTIEST dunks ever, he had originality and noone ever has had creativity like him. Dont go off saying Dr. J (god bless him) and MJ just because they're the legends, Carter pulled off better dunks than both of them

THe off the glass, between the legs was the best dunk that i have ever seen. hands down
Desmond Mason. Why? 1. Desmond Mason is a cooler name than Vince Carter. 2. Desmonstrocity sounds a million times better than Vincequeerity and 3. Vince Carter is a pansy 4. Wade is sexy and i luv him.

I like Desmond Mason a better dunker than Vince and i think he'd win. i stated my reasons without including the ones that where already said.
I would rather you say reasons that would be repeated and change them up a little bit than list stupid stuff that has nothing to do with the topic.
