Rose back, Deng out? Will Thibs use mostly Brewer at SF? That could work, but maybe Butler will get some time as well. Should be 16-3 after tonight. Wow.
Rose plans to play. Deng and Gibson are out. Noah and Lucas game-time decision. All from KC Johnson (Chicago Tribune)
The Bulls are just killing teams. It doesn't look like they're playing good basketball, or even better than the opposing team, and then you look at the score and they're up by twenty. Winning is so easy right now. It reminds me a lot of the second championship run
To follow up on my previous post, I've been messing around with team +/- stats adjusted for pace. I've been surprised at how linear the results are. +/- is a strikingly strong indicator of win percentage. Anyway here's how this years' Bulls stack against the championship years: [year: +/- adjusted for pace; actual record; win percentage] 11-12: +11.26; 16-3; .842 97-98: +7.2; 62-20; .756 96-97: +10.68; 69-14; .841 95-96: +12.34; 72-10; .878
Don't look now but if Rip strings a couple more games together like he played tonight he may be in contention for an allstar nod? Rip: 14.2 pts (51% fg, 33% 3pts, 100% fts); 2.8 reb; 3.9 assists. Joe Johnson: 18.6 pts (.424 fg.396 3pts, .877 fts); 3.8 reb; 3.8 assists. Ray Allen: 14.9 (.504 fg, .563 3pts, .895 fts); 3.1 reb; 2.4 assists.
Watched the game. Noah looks like he is playing more like his old self each game. Rip is fitting in nicely
