<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly close to signing David Wesley to a deal, possibly close to what Flip Murray got with the Pistons (two years, $3.6 million), The Morning Journal is reporting. Wesley, who will be 36 in November, would probably be an effective player if he played around 20 minutes a game. Should Wesley join the Cavaliers, Damon Jones may be on his way out</div>
Good pickup for Cleveland if it does happen.David Wesley is the perfect role player. He does all the little things he can create his own shot and is a pretty decent passer as well.I think he would blend well with the Cavs and LeBron. If Damon Jones is on his way out of Cleveland I would love for the Lakers to pick him up with the money we have left but Damon will probably ask a higher price than that, not to mention we have enough guards on our team. But as for the cavs Wesley is a nice pickup for them but he's not getting any younger.
ahhh! i love DJ! I hope this doesnt happen so he can stay a cav!! DJ is clutch when it comes to big shot situations!
Damon Jones isn't a good basketball. All he can do is shoot 3 pointers. He was in Mike Brown's doghouse for a reason. He is a one sided player, and he shoots a bad percentage. (.387 fg%)
what the hell is the point od shannon brown AND daniel Gibson if you'e gonna get wesley?? I think the Cavs should look away from this.
^I agree with that. I dont think Cleveland needs to add more age to their roster. This would be a setback because Cleveland probably wont win it all this year, so why add a piece that isnt part of a long-term future? The only thing I do like about the possibility of Wesley is that he actually moves without the ball and is not a stand still spotup shooter. Cleveland needs this type of player, but one that is about 10 years younger.
Cleveland doesn't need an old SG on the team. He can still play but the Cavs need to be looking more to the future and let Shannon Brown some playing time.
