Hated the signing at the time. Love him now. 2nd best 4th quarter scorer in the league. We don't beat Denver or the Lakers without him and he was sensational in two of our four losses. Not sure what the problem is.
Don't make me launch into my speech about how not all assists are signs of unselfishness, and how Allen Iverson got a load of assists but was the biggest ballhog on the planet, for all our sakes.
I'll tell you what the problem is: him scoring a lot isn't helping the team. Is that so hard to understand?
We don't beat Denver or Lakers without him. Everyone has said that they get along and play for each other. There is no problem here.
Nah. I'll just take your word about him being selfish, even though actual stats say otherwise. That's what these boards are for, right? Giving our opinions, and getting angry at those who may not agree.
We'd have been much better off with Landry. But don't worry, it's just a one year deal. The one year audition looks like an big time fail so far.
I was worried when we got him, but hopeful. Crawchuck has exceeded my wildest expectations. It's nice to have someone who can get a shot off in an emergency, but we don't need a flaming bag shot every time down the court, while his teammates stand and watch the horror show.
Landry signed for more than the MLE, yet he barely played tonight, which seems strange. Maybe he wants a trade, but for some reason he seems to have fallen on the NO depth chart the past few days.
I would have thought that in games where JC has played well we would win those games. The stats don't seem to support it. The more we rely on JC, the more we lose. So far in our 8 wins, Crawford has shot 32.1% (27/84), and 26.9% (7/26) for 3 pt. He has averaged 8.5 ppg. In our 6 losses, Crawford has shot 35.8% (33/92), and 35.7% (10/28) for 3 pt. He has averaged 14.4 ppg. In games where Crawford scores in double figures, we are 3-5. In other words, in 5 of our 6 losses Crawford scored in double figures.
It seems to me anyways, that Crawford makes more shots when we're down big. He's spearheaded just about every failed comeback we've had this season, against the Clippers, Magic, and Hawks...
Crawford with Blazers = Atlanta replay.. http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/i...wfords_slow_start_with_the_trail_blazers.html
I have to say, I thought Crawford was EXCELLENT yesterday. Of course, part of this was him actually hitting his shots, but it wasn't just that: he actually looked good running the team. In fact, my heart sank when he sat down and Felton came in. Of course, Batum is still getting criminally underused.
