Re: Nene's name. whats the deal with Nene's name. why does he only use nene? isnt his last name Hilario. im just wondering.
Re: Nene's name. I think he legally changed his name top Nene because it was his life long nickname. Im not sure on all the details. His real name used to be Maybyner Rodney Hilario
Re: Nene's name. Supposedly it is very common in Brazil for famous people to change their name to one name. It does mean baby, if I remember correctly.

Re: Nene's name. Ronaldino and Pelo, both famous Soccer stars, dropped their last name. They just go by one name. It's a Brazillian tradition.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>He did not play basketball until he was 14, but apparently took to the game quickly.</div>Well, Hakeem the Dream was 15, if I'm not mistaken.
Re: Nene's name. Some websites still mistakingly call him Nene Hilario...2 years after he changed it.
Re: Nene's name. Whenever I mention "Nene" not "Nene Hilario" everyone around me is like "Who's Nene? You mean Nene Hilario?" It gets really annoying.
