<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Earlier Saturday evening, Los Angeles Lakers Hall of Fame guard Magic Johnson, who chose to retire when he discovered he had contracted the HIV virus, called for Mourning to retire. "I don't want him to come back," Johnson said. "He did what he needs to do. It's over. You chase the dream that you wanted, which is the championship. Now he should focus on his health, focus on this - doing good in the community. And what better way to retire than to go out on top? He has other things he needs to accomplish now."</div>Source

You kind of have to agree with Magic, what else does Mourning have to accomplish? He accomplished his goal, now he has bigger things to worry about.

Yeah hopefully he retires on top but there is still a chance Miami wins another championship next year.

Who and the hell is Magic Johnson to tell Alonzo Mourning what to do with his life.

It's good to retire on top, but it's not any of Magic's concern.

I hate seeing guys like Mourning trying to prolong their career and in the end just sort of ruining their legacy. The Heat may or may not win the title again, but Mourning should retire while the afterglow is still fresh.

Its unfortunate that Miami isn't going to win the title next year. Magic is right, but he should just keep this private to himself and to alonzo.
