Evidence that "Atheism" is not a sound belief

I was only showing you the problem with your George Washington/Genghis Khan/whoever from history argument. History books don't claim that these individuals were magical or super-powered, so it's not much of a stretch to take them for their word. Of course, that doesn't mean we can accept even history books as 100% true -- we all know that history is subjective even under the best case scenario.

Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence, which is why your comparison to George Washington holds no water in this case.

demanding someone to provide that is NOT proof of his existence. You can go ahead and just throw out #6. demanding evidence and an explanation is not evidence.
Can you prove, after a night of sitting home by yourself, you didn't commit a crime elsewhere? Moreso, should you be required to? Absent evidence from a prosecutor. My case in court. It was him, prove it wasn't. Nope, doesn't work that way. You got what, 4 more? Again, whittle down your list a little.

 

OK, what evidence would need to be presented that would convince you that Jesus is the Son of God? I mean, without a doubt in your mind and not something that you would attempt to refute like all the rest.

 

I don't demand a single thing. It is the defenses right to choose not to provide evidence that god does not exist. I really don't care. I actually think it helps my case.

It really doesn't help your case at all. You are attempting to prove something exists. Your case is not helped by someone showing it does not. Or attempting to. Your case and evidence is your case and evidence.

 

You guys realize that talking about Jesus Christ isn't part of this discussion right? We are still discussing a creator or designer. But carry on cause it's a nice read.

Cool. You're the one making a case and providing EVIDENCE. Are you going to do that, or are you hoping others do it? It's your thread. We're the jury listening to your opening statements. You're presenting YOUR evidence. Go for it.

 

Still haven't replied about Bart Ehrman, and the other historians that agree that there was a Jesus. Are you discrediting them? Cause I can provide many more scholars in time that agree with Bart. You must discredit all of history. You do know that right?
